There could be so many factors that could contribute, but I’d highly encourage you to maybe seek your own therapist to discuss this? Therapy shopping is exhausting and can be discouraging..but be picky in what you’re looking for and find someone who can meet you where you currently are at - emotionally & mentally ♥️

I love that you noticed hey her rooms never messy but it is this week maybe she’s struggling or her motivation isn’t there why don’t I give her a hand, as a guardian or even just a friend or family member that means a lot especially for mental health💛💛💛

I couldn't agree more. There is so much love and compassion shown in this action of being there to gently guide Eryn as she tidies up her space. I loved watching this, and wondered what that must feel like to have someone help you with a big task but not be domineering. Lovely to observe.❤

Sometimes my mind is so cluttered I cannot clean my room. It is so helpful when my mom helps even just by getting me started or helping take the first step. This was so sweet.

Yeah, for me it's between that and the sweaters on hangers.
The towels, because I worked in a B&B, and folding them to hang up takes up less space than how they were folded here.
The sweaters, because my Mother is a tailor, and I worked at a cleaners, and the shoulders get all wrecked from being hung like that.

You can tell that Eryn is responsible and takes care of her own stuff by the way Laura is asking where she wants things. I love it.
Eryn is thriving with you! And A+ on teaching skincare to her - yes, you can get too much stuff, but the fact that she's doing it as a teenager will show 30-40 years down the road. I had a woman tell me when I was 24, "I don't care what you do, you need to be using a moisturizer." I started super simple, but I always wore moisturizer and I think it's made a difference now that I'm almost 60.
I should be cleaning my own room but I rather watch videos about it instead haha 😂

I'm glad to see that whatever Erin got into trouble for with those shoes, wasn't said online. I grew up before social media and I'd be embarrassed for my friends to know what I got in trouble for, even if it's something small. I can only imagine how much stronger those feelings would've been if it was said online to millions of people

Ok tip for more storage when hanging clothes. The velvet hangers that are thin literally changed my life. And their perfect for clothes because they won’t mess them up! I get mine at TJMAXX

Girl my daughter is 17 and I’m always having to help her organize her room and get on her for her closet and her depression chair lol She puts everything in that chair and shoved all her clean clothes in drawers Even though she has a whole closet and have her clothes are hanging off the hangers in the closet it drives me crazy I’m so OCD I’m constantly on her about it

So glad it is considered normal to keep and use towels and rags with stains on them. I haven’t bought new ones in a while as I think towels are still clean even with a few old stains!
