I already had this album when Bedlam In Goliath came out. when I heard Goliath for the first time, it was a shock to the senses. '...wait a minute. this is fuckin Rapid Fire Tollbooth! the insanity version!'
Anyone that heard this first, loved it, and then went crazy with Goliath? I remember feeling "ooh that's what Volta do to a song, fuuck me". Both songs are great.
@finalfantasiservii If you read interviews with Cedric or read his comments on his youtube channel, most of his lyrics dont actually have a meaning. You can dig and make them mean something if you want, but he's said many times that most of his lyrics are just written to sound cool and dont actually have a real meaning. He's brought up a couple Beatles songs like I Am The Walrus and talks about how it doesnt really mean anything. Thats what he goes for.
@escapethefate700 They did this with "A Plague Upon Your Hissing" and turned it into "Day of the Baphomets." They also turned "A Story Teeth Rotted For" into "Teflon."
I had already listened to Goliath and I saw that Omar had a bunch of his own stuff on Spotify so I shuffled it. When the song started I thought it was familiar and then I heard Cedric come on and I was like "Oh hell yeah"
@escapethefate700 haha yeah, this is the original version of goliath, they played it live as rapid fire tollbooth before Bedlam (it shows up in various bootlegs)
If this song turn into GOLIATH in the middle it would be the best thing on earth.. I don't like the fact there's 300 millions of instruments in goliath.. just the riff of guitar and bass + drums are necessary in that :)
Damn, it's so weird hearing this after Goliath and noticing the SLIGHTLY different lyrics.
I was on LSD when my friend first showed me this. Importat thing is that i HEARD Goliath before... that was crazy af =DDD

I still say this version is the best.
