I was in Calgary for a bit of time and I can say they are quite similar. Plus because Sudbury is Rural Northern Ontario, the Immigration Opportunities abound. All the best to anyone coming. All the cities you mentioned as Greater Toronto Area are very expensive for a newcomer to buy houses. Newcomers can find cheaper houses in London, Fergus, Hamilton, Caledonia etc
