NEW SUZUKI JIMNY SET-UP - 4WD Beach camping on Stradbroke Island, Queensland.

- OOPS WE DID IT AGAIN! This time Jess and I grabbed a brand new Suzuki Jimny from Horizon Adventure co. and headed to North Stradbroke Island for a few days of adventuring.
Straddie is a sub-tropical island, located 30 km southeast of Brisbane, Queensland and it is the world’s second largest sand island: about 38 km long and 11 km wide!
This Jimny set-up was sick! We had the luxury of a roof top tent, fridge and can you believe there's even room for a cheeky foldaway table in the little beast.
We checked out a few of the must see spots;
Cylinder Beach
Main Beach camping ( night 1)
Keyhole lake
Rock pools at the tip of Deadman's Beach
Flinders Beach camping ( night 2&3 zone 11. We found a sneaky spot that looked like a entry way to the track but was in fact a beach front camp area that was missing the front bollard, which was on the ground close by)

My goodness! Two beautiful women and The JIMNY!!!! 3 days ago, the first tim I accidently saw a rewiev of the Jimny: It was love at First Sight (n 2nd, N 3rd). Until then I do every time watching The Jimny on RUclips from every youtuber!...Love to own 1 Jimny. But here in Germany you have to wait until nearly 2 years.
The wait is almost the same here in Australia!!

Cool vid, great location! Just a little heads up for anyone looking to do the same setup on their Jimny. (I know you guys hired this one)The max roof load is between 30 and 40kg (depending on the reference) that Darche RTT is 70kg on its own plus roof rack and awning, so any insurance claim that could possibly be related to overloading the roof, would be void.

Your camp site on Flinders Beach was in the middle of the access track.
It certainly looks like that but if you read my caption below the video I explained that there was a post down and the site had a number. we doubled checked with the neighbours.😊

I was hoping to see Amity Point. Probably the spot on Straddie. Great video ladies.
We did go but it didn’t make the video as it was overcast and didn’t look that great. I’ve previously been to Amity at sunset it it was certainly an amazing spot 👌

I miss my old Suzuki Sierra. It was slow and noisy and leaked water through the soft tip but it was still awesome.
Sounds like some good memories were made with it.
One thing about moving to Melbourne I miss living bayside and going to straddie once a month in my sierra with my wife and puppies.
Yeah living my the ocean is pretty special

The jimny is very very small. With two people travelling you really couldn’t use it for any big trips that you had to spend more then a weekend away for. Just a cute weekender adventure car.
