I own both the Nikon FG and it's more comely cousin, the FG-20. It's definitely a fantastic consumer -grade camera with few of the features on the Pro line that are rarely used by many. Thank You for outlining it's merits and uses.
@6:50 I recall from my Mistakes in Marketing class that the EM was sold as a ladies camera because it was simple(r). Maybe that was acceptable in Japan then (doubtful), but disastrous in the West.
LOL, yes, it was. That's a camera marketing strategy that has ALWAYS failed. Rollei did that with one of their submins and the manual for it is, read through the lens of 2024, so condescending. It's basically, 'little lady, you don't need to know how film works. It's magic. Just push some buttons on this thing and try to look cute while you do it.'
