Hi, Roger. I've enjoyed your videos for some years now. Thank you. I chuckled when you went to "get an image straight off the internet," skipping the very beautiful one serving as your desktop background. ;^)
Hi Roger, what if I want to do a 3d relief from a regular colored png. I cnt seem the get it acurately it is very noisy if I smooth it, it loses details and becomes so pixilated during design I cnt see anything

I am new to artcam 2018 premium , and trying to learn the software. As of July 7, 2018, Autodesk ArtCAM has been discontinued. There isn't a lot of information dealing with the artcam 2018 premium software. There are tons of videos about the artcam 2012 express. Can the 3D relief be created with artcam 2018 premium.
Can you post that link for the grayscale 3d relief you use. When i search for them i can get like 5 to 10 images and the one you show has a lot of them. I use Chinese grayscale 3d relief as a search in Google. thank you
Goodnight Mr. Roger Webb knows I'm trying to make a cnc router and you see I'm trying to generate code g and my question if you could give the page where these images of this tutorial appear if no biggie and I will follow their tutorials to do a job before hand many thx for sharing their knowledge'm from chile and use a TRADUCTO to communicate I apologize if there misspelling
Hi, Master Roger. I've enjoyed your video. But I have my unusual question that may seem out of here. But, believe me, I have another idea and I've been looking a lot on the internet before asking you for help to solve it myself. But, I have not found myself the solution so far. So, I'm forced to seek the help from you and these talented professionals. And, a response that will solve my problem is indeed. So, let's go to my question based on the knowledge that you may have : Is there any program that makes an image into relief 3d like Art Cam, as it is here at 7:39, but in the real color of wood or metal? So, after a photo is converted into a 3d relief object, as it was ordered before this gets transferred to a caving machine, can the program do this 3d relief object,( on the computer) to look like a carved wood, baker or stainless steel? I look forward to an address link!
Roger, Can a relief be made in Aspire 8.5? I cannot afford to buy another programme such as Artcam due to the high cost and the fact that I am retired. Kind Regards. Brian from the UK
offcourse, aspire is better than artcam by it's simpler interface, still as powerful as artcam. if you want to do more complex 3d modeling there are far better programs than artcam, zbrush for example ( there is sculptris also which is free, or blender which is free too), it's nonsense in my oppinion to use artcam or aspire for modeling.
Hi,Roger Thanx for your highly informative videos......cannot be better.... Secondly I would like to know which software is used to convert any photo into grayscale for cnc engraving, should I get a 3d scanner to scan the photos and convert them to 3d relief ...please advise Regards Joe,Namibia
It appears that ArtCam (AutoDesk) is only available by subscription now , you can no longer buy and own the program just rent it for thousands per year, it is no longer backwards compatible and having been a customer of any sort makes absolutely no difference... Thanks AutoDesk, nice business plan... Time to move on... Can anyone recommend any reasonably priced options?

Generally you can't just grab any image off the internet and use it for whatever you want, they are owned by someone.
$6000?! That's out of my price range. Do you no any free or cheaper alternatives?
Lilly Doye is that the cost of the software that’s nuts.
