Great review ChiChi. I'm not a fan of Oud myself and I truly appreciate your honesty 😊. I agree about the Vanilla 28. I've had my bottle about a year and a half and just now appreciating that fragrance. Still on the fence with Yum Pistachio Gelato and Lovefest Burning Cherry.
I agree, some ouds come off like plastic with sometimes a medicinal undertone. Literally wrote for Vanilla Oud… “comes across either a little medicinal or artificial plastic. I’m not sure.” 😭 I don’t hate it and I get that Un Bois Vanille similarity but I still get that oud which does get better with time. Vanilla Royale also has it. Then there are ouds that are clean and just woody, then the barnyard “animals have been here” oud lol
I could not wait for your review!! Definitely not a fan of Oud. However, I thought my first time Ouding was with Vanilla Oud but it was with the Invite Only, and I actually like both. Now I would say I wore Vanilla Oud to bed because I was unsure about it but I like it, I'm going to let it sit a while. I haven't tried the others though. Waiting on the Cafe Oud and Rose Oud to be shipped and see how I like them. 🙂 I also agree with you on Vanilla 28, still tickles my nose on its own but I like it.
Hold up invite only has oud in it 🤯🤯🤯. Get out I actually really like that fragrance. Well whichever oud they put in that one they need to put in the others 😆

"church smell" took me down! 🤣🤣🤣 I am still on a fragrance exploration journey and I didn't expect to like any of the Kayali Oud fragrances but I just did a first impression of 7 if her samples and I legit love two out of four of her Oudgasm scents. I see that different people experience oud differently and there was a time in my life when I would have rejected it outright. It's what I love most about scent.
I have the Vanilla oudgasm and I don't know what to do with it. I'm trying to find ways to layer it so I can tolerate it. It wasn't cheap and I don't want to waste it. so far, I've layered with Bianco Latte. It's decent. Also, I spray the vanilla oudgasm and walk into it. I don't directly spray on myself. Then I layer on bianco latte. it's good stuff

Kayali and navitus and the 2 perfume houses I have to let fragrances sit for a minute. The dent I've made in yum pistachio has me gagged

I think I may keep vanilla oud only because I used so much of it I doubt I can return it 😆 but I'll just use it as a base
