  • This press conference took place on November 15, 1965, at the Cherry Plaza Hotel in Orlando, Florida. Walt and Roy Disney, along with Governor Hayden Burns, announce the plans for the newly-revealed Disney World project.

    I like when Walt Disney mentioned that they were able to brainstorm, pitch, develop and build "It's a Small World" for the New York World's Fair in just 11 months. And, 50 years later, it continues to delight audiences. Wow.

    That was so great when Governor Burns brings up World of Color and Walt buts in and says "Wonderful World of Color... on NBC... Sunday nights at 7:30"

    10:12 to 10:29 idk why this part almost make me cry, particularly the “don’t hold me to it”, like he knew that he was gonna die before the beginning of the construction of WDW

    Where was the Cherry Plaza Hotel located? And what is in that space today?

      Watch the youtube channel called: TheDailyWoo. His current youtube video shows the hotel and he speaks about the history of it. The hotel is still there, still in business but under a new name.
