Simply watching the waves go by is a delightful day, but missing a great location does make it a downer. I remember my first cruise, missing Catalina Island for the same reason. And my dad had never been in the island before. Love the forward embossed view of the ship from the Lido. The Destiny Class are not my favorite class of Carnival. But it’s up there. Strange to think that it’s a classic, even retro, design now. Gotta say, do love a LITTLE bit of rough weather. The Barbie Movie! The song led me to figure it out. Saw it in theaters. What an epic movie that would be to see out at sea. And, yes! Quiet spaces on a CARNIVAL ship are where it’s at. A serious contrast, too. Like, you can hear the ringing of all the loud everything in the common spaces. Disclaimer: This is coming from someone who loves Carnival. And oh the sunset. They really don’t make ships like they used to. Panorama views of those golden rays from multiple sections of the top decks.
Plan a 6 day cruise for November 9-15 2025 on the sunshine.... I have this cruise booked already with my Wife, her sister and husband!!! This time It will be moved from Charleston to Norfolk Virginia, but that too has a lot of history. Celebration Key (The newest Island destination) will be opening summer of 2025 so it will be a great time to check out a brand new place!!! Its also stopping in Bimini which is my personal favorite stop... the Sopano shipwreck snorkeling and reef shark snorkeling adventures are absolutely breathtaking.
