This has got to be one of the best videos that explains music theory in the simplest way possible (at least for me don't know about you guys 😂) I really love this! Thanks LSD ❤
I hope you know how much you do for those who maybe didnt understand how to build these types of progressions before. Super easy to follow, really cleanly explained. Thankyou bro.
Aye thank you! I’m glad these more theory type videos can help out! I definitely wanna share as much knowledge as possible with you all fr!🙏🔥 thanks for supporting!
Fire bro, have been learning so much about music theory as of late, felt like I had it all figured out, but something was missing... and that was structure. This video really stringed everything together for me, much love bro. Quality content, keep it up!
Aye bro! Glad it could help out. I know exactly what you mean! I will learn something about theory that clicks like 10 other things together. Those are the best times haha!
Random tip I thought I'd share with you. I watch a lot of your videos and I notice when you go to preview what chords sound like, you tend to go to the "playback" tool then you have to go back to the pencil tool. A quick way to go back and forth between the two, without using a shortcut key or changing your tool. Just press atl then right click over the chord you want to preview and it will preview with the playback tool. When you let up, it goes back to whatever tool you were using. Just thought I'd share.
Really useful tips! Definitely a great way to spice up your melodies making them more interesting. There's so much to do with just few notes. Gotta explore new vibes!
El sonido que consigues, con el piano es increíblemente ,harmónico y trámite mucha emoción saludos desde cuba me gustaría que subieras más contenido de este tipo
Yo this tip was mega fire bro, I feel like I owe you something for that one. So easy now to use the piano roll as a tool to build chord progressions using that scale, then building root notes from scale, and then building chords from the root either minor or major. Bro that was hot fire thank you sir so much for showing us the building blocks of music.
Great video bro. This is one of the best videos I've watched so far explaining how to actually put the progressions together to flow with each other. I appreciate you my guy🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Love the videos man. Are you able to make a video or just mention the setting you use to export? I have no idea what 32bit float and 64-point sinc is and weather or not its impacting my audio in a bad way because my exported audio sounds different to my in fl studio audio and im not sure how to fix it. Keep up the great work.
Amazing video as always 🙏 please more of the music theory videos, its the part i struggle the most with as a new producer. Also wanted to ask how you learned to play the piano, im currently starting to learn and it would help me out! ❤
Aye thank you! More on the way. Really just playing over the years while making beats. But in 2020 I started watching any theory videos and piano videos I could find on RUclips and just following along, also googling anything they would go over that I didn’t undertand. Piecing it all together
hi bro, ca you do the same video but about Counter Melodies on chord like this ? I don't understand especially Where i put notes and where i don't put it . Thanks and sorry for my english :)
@@kingwarrior5028 hey! The Midi Suite is midi files. They can be dropped into any DAW if your choice! You just load up a sound or vst and drop the midi into your piano roll!
what bass note would you use on that 3rd chord of the 1st progression? (the c#) Cause its sounding off, with my attempts. Tried 3 different bass sounds. Though i put the progression in Dminor.
@@LifeStyleDidIt I do this trick more audio engineering, but if you sidechain it and use Center by Waves, some saturations, and duck it a few db fast attack around 800 ms release, it's pretty magical.
I would also like to know in which cases these chords can be used, because I tried to build suspended 2 from the 5th minor step, and there the note went out of key
@@LifeStyleDidIt Hai, I have small question related to the music theory. I am currently working on C major chord in Ableton, so i want to pitch shift -1 semitone, where does the new keys land? is it B major or B minor? Based on my understanding if i work on C major and shift by -1 semitone down, it should land on B maj and if i work on C minor and shift by -1 semitone down it should land on B minor. Please correct me if I am wrong. In addition are there any tools for Ableton where I could directly transpose the keys without having to worry about semitones, its a bit of confusing and it worries me?
@@vamshi3676 hey! So for example, if you are working in the key C major and you create a whole chord progression in that key. If you transpose the entire progression down -1 semitone. You would be in the key of B major now. Let’s say the same situation, but you first create a whole progression in D minor. Then you decided to pitch the whole progression +1 semitone. You would be in d# minor (aka Eb minor)
Don’t get me wrong cool video and all but the title of the video is how to make melodies, Isn’t this just chord progressions ? I wanna know what notes you are using when freestyling, do you have go to patterns etc. I clicked thinking I was going to get some melody anatomy, that’s what I wanna see.
