- Cleaning is an essential maintenance that every computer needs every once in a while depending upon the air quality of the room your computer is situated in, if ignored can lead to higher than normal temperatures as well as decreased lifespan of electronic components.
PC cleaning should be carefully carried out in order to prevent Electrostatic discharge (ESD) because cleaning brushes and vacuum cleaners can actually damage PC components. To prevent such issues use a good quality anti ESD brushes and compressed air duster which does not induce static buildup and helps to safely clean electronic components. Along with blowers, vacuum cleaners can also be used to clean PC dust but it is a bit more risky as compared to other methods. However good quality PC components have proper shielding to prevent ESD damage but not all brands may have such measures.
Cleaning PC at least twice a year and replacing thermal grease whenever overheating issue arise during heavy gaming, video editing or other such CPU intensive tasks.

Very well explained. I follow somewhat same method over the years.
One thing I learned the hard way, "Its easy to keep your room clean on a daily basis, rather than deep cleaning your cabinet every month". From past few years I have been keeping my room clean and that helped me as now I perform deep cleaning once or twice a year.

Silicon Polish wouldn't damage carbon fiber, it evaporates not leaving behind any residue. Avoid diesel or any oil.
