You should plan that kind of visits early in the morning so you're there around 8am. And book in advance. I was one of the first in line, avoided the heat, and it was much nicer.

This guy is a piece of work. He thought he was visiting Nairobi or something. Meanwhile he didn't even enter the Basilica of Saint Peter and/or the Vatican Museums. Nothing.
He's in Rome and he's not gone to see _the Last Judgment_ of Michelangelo in the _Sistine Chapel_ (...if he even _knows_ what that is).
So you go to the Vatican and you don't go inside Saint Peter's Basilica? You've got to be kidding me. So you have NOT see anything. Only Saint Peter's Square.
What a waste of time and opportunity.
