I don't know why the Chinese government doesn't just ban it...they're not normally so slow to ban things and if they want to appeal more to Westerners, which I believe they do, they really should put more effort into banning these disgusting things.
The Chinese government did ban it over 5 years ago. But the southern parts of China have a hard time changing. So the pet lovers are doing the fighting. I understand your replays, you would be welcome on the protest side, they need support. Sadly I have seen some westerners eating dog. First time I saw dogs being killed in some markets I cried like a baby. My students are fighting for the rights of animals, proud of them.

go read about the history of Vietnamese...u may be surprised. any people that can defeat the mighty USA juggernaut and fought vs bigger powerful nations (many Chinese dynasties) deserves some respect.
