Summer is my least favorite season. I love being outside, but I can’t handle to heat. I think I may have seasonal depression but opposite. You inspired me today. I agree! I think a lot of it depends on where you live. I’m in Florida and get kind of reverse cabin fever. I can’t enjoy the outside because it’s too hot. Oh, well. I enjoy the thunderstorms though! Perfect “curling up with a good book” weather.

A lot of people get Winter Blues, I tend to get Summer Blues! Here in NC, summer is so hot & usually lasts 4-5 months. This year I’m trying really hard to love it & do more things that I love to do when it’s warm; beach days, picnics, growing food, reading in the garden, etc. 👒🌻
Swimming is the key to break that. I'm a born and raised Texan. I try to swim as much as possible during the summer and it really helps to deal with the super hot days. I do have to say I'll take summer over winter any day. If I'm inside because of the extreme weather, I'll take the season where I still get sunshine pouring into my windows. The dreary winter days just get to me. I enjoy the cold snuggly weather for about 3 weeks, then I'm over it and ready for spring lol.

I think your videos have really helped me appreciate the things i loved about summer as a kid. As an adult it seemed less enjoyable and maybe that's because we work instead of getting to truly slow down buttttt maybe that shouldnt be a real excuse. Living in Florida we take certain things for granted. It is always green here, even in winter. That being said watching the Magnolia trees get their blossoms is one of my favorite things about Spring and Summer. Summer for us means thunderstorms that shake your soul. The sky is pure electricity. The rain smells amazing. You have to pause and give respect to the rumble of the thunder as it announces itself. Sometimes it can feel a little scary but in a good way. There is beauty in every season and I thank you for sharing that with us Darling Desi. You make seasons come alive for so many of us. Have and amazing summer and God bless.

Just the beginning of this video made me tear up so much that I had to reach for a tissue…. I love summertime and I agree that the early days are the best. I even enjoy the late, hot “dog days” of summer, but I never felt that was quite a fair description. I love the heat, the sunshine, spending endless days with my kids who are out of school… sitting out on the back porch listening to the cicadas in the trees and watching the birds roost for the night. Warm nights. Stepping out of an air-conditioned bookstore into the warm afternoon. Sweet corn-on-the-cob, garden fresh tomatoes and lemon meringue pies. The smell of chlorine and sunscreen on my skin… just everything! 🥹🥹

Growing up in Utah, my favorite bookstore EVER was always King's English. I would go with my mom often and spend hours there passing time and reading. That was the last thing we did before I moved away. What a sweet experience seeing you visit and feeling nostalgia for the memories I've experienced there, and what a beautiful video.

My favourite season is right now, that time between late spring and early summer. Even though the weather hasn't been cooperating recently and we've been hit by several rain/thunderstorms, I'm still doing my best to romanticize the season, and this video is definitely going to help with that!

I often do not enjoy summer because it gets way too hot where I live and makes it difficult to be comfortable. But your video made me think of the things I do enjoy during the extra hot season. Like taking a dip at the beach, cooling down with a snow cone or a cold drink, going for a drive in the late afternoon, watching the beautiful summer sunsets... Also give D'Artagnan a few extra treats for being such a good boy and holding still😉 I made a flower crown for my dog Simba last weekend and he always threw it off of his head the next second- until it finally landed in the water😂 But I got one good picture and it makes me smile to think about this whole moment. I have baked no-knead dutch oven bread since the pandemic started and still doing it, about 2 loaves each week (it is just my husband and myself now). I am German, but since living in the USA (for 21 years now), I have missed German bread. But with this recipe, I do not miss it anymore. The video was beautiful. I especially loved the ending. Your dress was sooo fitting for the environment :-) Like a scene in the alps :-) I also loved the book store! How nice is the book recommendation machine? Such a cute idea! The book menu as well :) I celebrated my birthday recently in spring, and I found a local bookstore that could be rented after closing hours for small parties. You'd have the entire bookstore for yourself and your birthday crowd, get a little buffet and wine from a café around the corner, and could just hang out there to read, chat, eat, drink, and buy books at the end of the evening if you wanted to. It was just the perfect romantic birthday for me. It's so amazing to see independently owned bookstores go to such lengths to create a really unique experience like this for bookworms like us.

Honestly you have no idea of how much I needed a video like this today. I've been sick for the last couple of days and even though it's not covid and I'll be fine soon, it always get me sooo down and specially when June arrived and it's my favourite season (here it's the start of rainy season) and I hated feeling so down. I love Fall best of all but this is the most romantic summer life video ever! I loathe the heat and humidity and stickiness and bugs of Summer so I am just delighted to see your perspective of this season. They've helped me to appreciate the natural world around me little by little, each time a little more. I'm not a rural gal but I love the balance of your hometown of city and wild mountains. What a dream town! It's also breezy here in AR so I'll remember to enjoy these light days before it really gets hot. I recommend Sprite or a lemon/lime soda with a fruity ice cream like sorbet for a different version of a coke float.

I've never comented before i think, but i really enjoyed this video, lots of little things in it whispered messages to me, the one that stood the most in my heart was how important and valuable it actually is romanticizing as much as we can our lives, specially when dealing with harsh moments. We have a little bookshop here in Yorkshire, England That have a table full of books wrapped in brown paper, with just a generalised genre written on the brown paper. I think your videos have really helped me appreciate the things i loved about summer as a kid. As an adult it seemed less enjoyable and maybe that's because we work instead of getting to truly slow down buttttt maybe that shouldnt be a real excuse. Living in Florida we take certain things for granted. It is always green here, even in winter. That being said watching the Magnolia trees get their blossoms is one of my favorite things about Spring and Summer. Summer for us means thunderstorms that shake your soul. The sky is pure electricity. The rain smells amazing. You have to pause and give respect to the rumble of the thunder as it announces itself. Sometimes it can feel a little scary but in a good way. There is beauty in every season and I thank you for sharing that with us Darling Desi. You make seasons come alive for so many of us. Have and amazing summer and God bless.

Just the beginning of this video made me tear up so much that I had to reach for a tissue…. I love summertime and I agree that the early days are the best. I even enjoy the late, hot “dog days” of summer, but I never felt that was quite a fair description. I love the heat, the sunshine, spending endless days with my kids who are out of school… sitting out on the back porch listening to the cicadas in the trees and watching the birds roost for the night. Warm nights. Stepping out of an air-conditioned bookstore into the warm afternoon. Sweet corn-on-the-cob, garden fresh tomatoes and lemon meringue pies. The smell of chlorine and sunscreen on my skin… just everything! 🥹🥹

Growing up in Utah, my favorite bookstore EVER was always King's English. I would go with my mom often and spend hours there passing time and reading. That was the last thing we did before I moved away. What a sweet experience seeing you visit and feeling nostalgia for the memories I've experienced there, and what a beautiful video.

This video brought me to tears. We just received some bad news and life hasn't been going great for my family but this video made me realize I need to take a step back let it all go and love the little things and go make amazing memories with my kids ❤️
My favourite season is right now, that time between late spring and early summer. Even though the weather hasn't been cooperating recently and we've been hit by several rain/thunderstorms, I'm still doing my best to romanticize the season, and this video is definitely going to help with that!
Watching your videos made me realize how beautiful life can be when you try to enjoy it. I loved the quote, "if you start living for the smallest reasons, that's when you know you're living." Watching you romanticizing and enjoying your life gives me a reason to start and keep living that way, and it is just beautiful. It shows me that there is a posibility that I can also be happy if I start doing the things that I like without caring if someone else likes it or not🌻🌞

Going to school/university, spending time in nature, playing the piano and dancing ballet, all these things that I‘ve been doing for basically my whole life suddenly feel that much more important and fulfilling to me. I often do not enjoy summer because it gets way too hot where I live and makes it difficult to be comfortable. But your video made me think of the things I do enjoy during the extra hot season. Also give D'Artagnan a few extra treats for being such a good boy and holding still😉 I made a flower crown for my dog Simba last weekend and he always threw it off of his head the next second- until it finally landed in the water😂 But I got one good picture and it makes me smile to think about this whole moment. Early summer looks cool
I have baked no-knead dutch oven bread since the pandemic started and still doing it, about 2 loaves each week (it is just my husband and myself now). I am German, but since living in the USA (for 21 years now), I have missed German bread. But with this recipe, I do not miss it anymore. The video was beautiful. I especially loved the ending. Your dress was sooo fitting for the environment :-) Like a scene in the alps :-) I also loved the book store! How many cute little ideas (gum drop machine for book seuggestions, menu card, and so on)! I had never heard about the Canon Ivy, but will look into it. Same for the Caraway cookware. I love your videos!

Summer is probably my least favorite season, it’s hot and mosquitoes are so annoying. How nice is the book recommendation machine? Such a cute idea! The book menu as well :) I celebrated my birthday recently in spring, and I found a local bookstore that could be rented after closing hours for small parties. You'd have the entire bookstore for yourself and your birthday crowd, get a little buffet and wine from a café around the corner, and could just hang out there to read, chat, eat, drink, and buy books at the end of the evening if you wanted to. It was just the perfect romantic birthday for me. It's so amazing to see independently owned bookstores go to such lengths to create a really unique experience like this for bookworms like us.

Honestly you have no idea of how much I needed a video like this today. I've been sick for the last couple of days and even though it's not covid and I'll be fine soon, it always get me sooo down and specially when June arrived and it's my favourite season (here it's the start of rainy season) and I hated feeling so down. I love Fall best of all but this is the most romantic summer life video ever! I loathe the heat and humidity and stickiness and bugs of Summer so I am just delighted to see your perspective of this season. They've helped me to appreciate the natural world around me little by little, each time a little more. I'm not a rural gal but I love the balance of your hometown of city and wild mountains. What a dream town! It's also breezy here in AR so I'll remember to enjoy these light days before it really gets hot. I recommend Sprite or a lemon/lime soda with a fruity ice cream like sorbet for a different version of a coke float.

We have a little bookshop here in Yorkshire, England That have a table full of books wrapped in brown paper, with just a generalised genre written on the brown paper. You never know what the book is going to be about until you unwrap it. I’ve discovered books and authors that I’d never heard about before but now love.
