- RUclips WEDNESDAY! This is the 2nd video in this serie. If I succeed, I will publish my cruising video's on Saturday and "All the footage gathered on my SSD" is for this RUclips Wednesday series. So After weeks of rain teh Netherlands (well at least the part where I am) enjoyed a beautiful summer evening. We almost forgot how that felt. And whilst enjoying this evening, I remembered the footage I had from me being on anchor in nature reserve The Biesbosch.

The 4 camera's I use to produce my outdoor footage, are so called PTZ - P(an) T(ilt) Z(oom). Zoom, I only use on the rear camera, when I am underway. As you have seen I use the pan and tilt a lot. And in the dark they produce a great (short view) infrared image. I even can navigate in a marina at night on my cams.
Since they all are so called "IP camera's", each have an unique (hardwired) IP address (no DNS) in my network.

This channel follows a format: "Join Henk-Jan, whilst he cruises on motorvessel Lady Liselot through The Netherlands and a little further". That's it. This automatically means: no boat tour and no boat jobs. These subjects do not fit the format. So, I aim to give you a feel for what life's like aboard for me and hope you enjoy it, perhaps relate to it or maybe even learn something. But it's simply my story and the way I do things. Nothing more, nothing less.

Waarom ik alles in het Engels doe?
Omdat ik video's kijk van Fransen, Denen, Noren, Spanjaarden, Portugezen, Duitsers én heel veel Engelstaligen die allemaal Engels lullen en ook bootjesmensen / liveaboards zijn. Want alleen dan kan je je ervaring wereldwijd delen. En wat blijkt? Mijn video's worden in 127 landen bekeken (zie S03/E01 voor de lijst). Veel van mijn kijkers en abonnees zijn Engelstaligen die mijn video's helemaal top vinden, omdat ze óf familie hebben uit Nederland, of hier jaren geleden zijn geboren en door omstandigheden nu elders op de wereld wonen. En, dat ik dan Engels spreek met een accentje (net als de Fransen, Denen, Noren, Spanjaarden, Portugezen, Duitsers overigens) dan interesseert hen dat helemaal niets.
Weet je dat Nederlandse ondertiteling aan kan zetten? Doorgaans zo'n 4 uur nadat de video is gepubliceerd. Klik op de video, en kies uit de iconen die rechtsonder verschijnen dan voor [ondertiteling] en kies daar voor Nederlands. Dan wordt zelfs mijn steenkolen Engels (knap he van die jongens en meisjes RUclips) vertaald naar Nederlandsch.

A Big Mergpijp cookie consists of biscuit dough with a filling of raspberry jam and butter cream. This is covered with marzipan and with the ends dipped in chocolate.
Google for mergpijp cookie and you will find out that these are also available as dog food, but as you can imagine I promote the cake version.

@@pitasmith9228 Een vriendin van mij woont in Adelaide, en er zijn een aantal volgers die in Nederland zijn geboren en inmiddels in Australië of Tasmanië wonen en mij daarover schrijven. Hier is sinds 2 dagen de zomer begonnen en bij jullie is de eerste vorst al aan de grond, of is dat alleen in Tasmanië.

hoi Henk Jan, lag je noordelijk van de zuider jonge deen?! Wij lagen altijd aan de zuid zijde. Daar is het super vlak en kon ik 37 mtr helemaal banken en 3 weken vast liggen. ankertje op de grond voor de show. hahaha. super plekje hoor. leuk voor de kids ook.
