Randy and Robbie allowed Tim to take his version of BTO on the road so that he could earn money to pay off his accumulated debts. Rest in Peace, Tim Bachman. 1951 to 2023.
Tim Bachman is one of the original three Bachman brothers (Randy and Robbie are the other two) that performed along with Fred Turner on the first two BTO albums. Tim left or was fired, depending on who you talk to, and was replaced by Blair Thornton for the third BTO album "Not Fragile". Randy Murray, the second guitar player in this video, went on to join BTO after Randy quit in 1991 and stayed with them until around 2005.
I don't wish to burst anyone's bubble here, lads, but Tim Bachman played rythym guitar and 2nd lead on the first two Bachman-Turner albums (BTO I & II) Just saying. I'm not terribly fond of it either. The bass player is pretty good. It just bears mentioning that Timmy is a legacy member. 🍀🍀
SanFranTony123 Thats cool. I was aware that Tim Bachman had a version of BTO that toured in 1987-88 and this was the first time I saw footage of that version. Tim was in the original band with Fred along his brothers Randy and Robbie from 1971-74 and the 'reunion' period with Randy, Fred and Garry Peterson from 1984-86. In this video you got Randy Murray on lead guitar who became part of the 1991-04 version of BTO with Fred, Robbie and Blair that toured.

Rip Tim Bachman.
Sounds better than expected instrumentally. No "Down n out man" or "Blown" in this portion.
That drummers timing is all over the place.
is it Randy Murray on guitar, i think so ?
Yes
