I am 64 years old. The Yamaha CT1 was my first bike. I bought it used in 1973 and kept it for about years. Good to see this video. Respect. Trinidad & Tobago.
I have had this exact bike for over 3 decades.I got it to pay off part of a carpentry bill. I replaced lots of rubber quite a while ago. Green paints all there but a little tired, and just a couple of dings in the front metal fender. It could use grips and tires, thanks for that source, I want original looking.. It's a 70 with about 5000 miles on it. It has turn signals from new, so it's street legal. I have lost track of how many people I have loaned this to to practice and go get their MC license with.. I told them If you can do everything while doing figure eights in your yard without putting your feet down, you're good to go.
I had a 1978 DT 400 E and have not been able to find one ANYWHERE! This '70 175 is the same as all the dirt bikes I learned how to moto-cross on and brings back intense memories of my youth!!
I just was given a 1969 Yamaha 175 enduro. My wife’s grandpa has had it in storage since 1993. it so nice, 6000 miles on it but it doesn’t look like it’s ever been laid down. I would love to see it restored. My front finder is gone
Same here... My transportation to LA High School.... we had the mornings off (1971 Symar Earthquake destroyed our brick HS; went to Fairfax HS after 11:30am.... rode in the Baldwin Hills in am with my bud, straight to school.... those were the days!
I just bought one of these, 3700 miles, still has stock tires on it, still has the tool pouch with tools in it, only thing I need is a gas tank, it was not on the bike. Mine is a 1969 and it’s like a orange
found one of these in shit condition for 650usd. no clutch cover, broken front brake lever, no back brake levers, just crap. needs new rubber, chain probably. not running as well, lots of other things. i was wondering if this thing is overpriced? or are they really that collectable. I want to offer 250 but not sure If im being an ass and low balling. I have the experience to get this thing running and know lots of people who will be happy to help as well

I wanna see you do your famous wheely on that little bad boy!
myfirst bike bought with my own money in 75. Mine was striped down when I got it. $300.
Could tell the clutch needed work from the first three shifts.
How much did it auction off at ?
Those bikes had an optional passenger seat that bolted on top of the rack.
It's gotta have the #2 spark plug hole
