I started playing the album again, I'd forgotten how good it was. And somehow sounds even better now. This and termination bliss are flawless. I like all of them but the first two in particular had no weak songs at all. I would love their next album to go back to this style.

This song is so good they really made some amazing goth metal. I will never understand why they went with such an adorable hair style for the singer but I'm into it!

I've been a Deathstars fan for almost 5 years. In my opinion they stand out a lot comparing to other metal bands, it's a thing I like a lot about the band, they kinda have their own style especially the vocals

I really miss this era of Deathstars. I still like all of their albums, but the atmosphere and vocals are so much better on this album and Termination Bliss, than the most recent two. I'm hoping they get back to these darker roots a bit on the new one.

I think it most likely is about something to do with it being set 1000 years from now, and some girl is strapped into a chair by some guy in the back (btw the girl's Alex from the band entombed), and "the show begins". The place where she is tested for an experiment, I think, has some dark and dirty feeling in it, similar to going to a strip club.
@@Spookythereaper3 woah.. o.o eye-opening video if you think of it that way.. and I think both the song and the video are about how our good and bad traits are opposites, so if you do something that is bad on a level that is also good on another it's like you did nothing basically. It all sums up to nothing because two opposites added equal to 0. Good+bad=nothing. It's a difficult concept to grasp for most people so I'm glad I came across this video. It was like an awakening. Too sad most people don't understand it.

First band I followed on MySpace, and been in love ever since.
Been a fan for years! And yet, I continue to love this song, and wicked video.
The Dethstars are their own sound, a feat very difficult to do nowadays.
Music must always push it limits.
This band could of went the easy way to make cash grab song but didn't.
They are true artists.

@@johnzackarias11 For me, "now" extends back to the mid 90's when the last originality in sound occurred, everything since has been derivative. No new stand alone genres... I'm older ("now" therefore is on a continuum relative to age)

This American band is still very popular in Germany. I stumbled across Deathstars by accident while I was researching "Death of a Salesman" - of all things! This band actually rocks hard for Euro-goth, And the videos kick ass. Totally fake satanic overtones exemplify this genre. I love a lot of drum in my devil music and D-Stars always delivers. Thanks for posting this video.

Well first of all I want to say once again that they're similar to other band because they are THE SAME GOD DAMN GENRE! But what I really wanted to write a comment about, is that I think the vocals in this song are very different from other songs by Deathstars! Is that just me, or did anyone else think so too?

They are similar vocals, only difference is the heavier use layering and much more reverb

Yeah, their vocals have definitely changed over the albums. With the first two, the vocals were more directly sung, but by Night Electric Night, they were far more recitative. I kinda miss Whiplasher's singing, to be honest, though I still love the band as a whole.
