Hahah gold, what a character.. I raised my eyes at the disc brake comment, then realised he was taking the piss when the LS9 came up :) Good episode, enjoyed that little insight into a guy's passion, his first but I bet its not his last.
That’s awesome! I have a 82 series 3 in boulder also! Ours is the lwb 109” with a red 202 Holden conversion. I love the old girl! Hope to see this beaut sometime
Happy Land Rovering from a long-term but former Land Rover Series owner in the States! Hope to bump into you both next October "Down Under." Andy McKane, Maunaloa, Molokai, Hawaii
Did my apprenticeship on them in the early 70s. Go slow from 1st gear to second gear otherwise chip the teeth. Clutches tend to be weak when bogged. So be mindful. Zenith cab models easier to tune.. all the best.
Very nice Landy, you just didn't show enough of it... A walk around and peek into the full interior and load bin would have been nice, even "if the all looks the same". A close up on the flaking paint ( patina ) as well. I think that's enough reason for you two to meet up again. Regards fron RSA 🇿🇦
Seek forgiveness not permission, going to have to remember that one. Lindsay don't worry about being a late starter to the Landy tribe we were all new once. What is the dial/gauge behind the steering wheel? I can see that the speedo is in the center part of the bulkhead.
Great to see a lovely old series Land Rover back on the road and a new convert to Land Rover! Great episode,
I’ve always loved the military cut on the wheel arches that you Aussies used to do.
Very nice Linz . Show stopper.😊
Nice to see these vehicles back on dirt roads, fantastic and thank you for sharing.

You are the number one man Lindsay,l to have been after a series army land rover for years. Where abouts do you live and what time do you go to sleep.
Kalgoorlie.. go to bed about 4:30 AM…..

I wish I could find a lovely Australian military 2a like that in the USA, they are few and far between here.
Found mine in Binghamton NY, awesome truck
What a great looking rig. What other vehicle could you re-rego so easily after a quarter of a century?
What colour is that, I really dig it!!! Nice vid
