My I just started watching A Re:Gressor's Tale of Cultivation, my favorite part so far is when the main character (Su Ba Rue) angered the maids of a jade beauty that he was interested in, and one who's sister died said "I'm going to KILL YOU!!!", but Su Ba Rue said back to her "I'm going to SAVE YOU!!!" before regressing, it was so peak and showcased his character so well, even though the maids weren't the jade beauty he was pursuing, he refused to let them die while he could, because he still cared about them! I love A Regressor's Tale of Cultivation!!!
I'm reading this as soon as I finish the video. One of my favorite things in a story is when the protagonist may be "powerful" but because of it he suffers not just physically but mentally. You really sold me on this one. Now i just hope i don't catch up quickly lol.
Reverend insanity is peak of cultivation and regression . Also My longevity simulation is also very good, amazing world building, where tension is felt . And this one, with emotions . Best 3 Regressor and Cultivation Novels
Recommending another regression novel: I'm an infinite regressor but I got story to tell, featuring the indomitable human spirit versus the eldritch horrors. Seriously though this is one of the best regression novel I have read. Every characters are fun to read about and the insane 'voids' that the protagonist have to deal with is very creative and fun to learn about.
i like that every single cultivation manga is the same ngl. I never felt connected with human stuff anyways and i really like that all of these novels are so corporate like and they only measure people in numerical values. I like how most mcs are machiavellian as much as possible. Anyways i think i will like the novel, but man i really have to get my energy together if i want to read something out of my comfort zone
Two amazing cultivation novels out now are Beyond the timescape and The mirror legacy. Beyond the timescape has a very nice twist to the cultivation fantasy, kind of lovecraftian and it is written by one of the most notorious writers of cultivation novels. While mirrors legacy is more your typical xianxia but it follows not really a single mc but a clan of cultivators. I highly recommend.
I just finished the mad lord episode (I think it's in 21 or 22 regression). it's amazing how unique are the villains in RToC. he never wanted dominate the world ou save the world, he just wanted to relive the happiest moment in his life, and to do that he did everything. he suffered a lot, but the author never tried to use this as a justification of his actions Strange (怪奇/bizarre) and wonderfully mysterious (奇妙) are, essentially, differences in perception. For some reason, those words lingered in Jo Yeon's mind. Jo Yeon let out a voice filled with pain. "Again! Again, even if just once, I will...recreate that moment!" From the ruins of the Jo Clan, one hunchback who had lost everything and gone mad, having consumed beyond the limits of the Emotion Advancement Pills, he reached a place transcending even the One-Pattern Law Talent and vowed to recreate the one moment that had been the most valuable in his life. He swore before [Her]. "Even if just once!!!" That day. Jo Yeon hugged [Her] in his embrace and was determined. Even though there was no difference between bizarre and wonderfully mysterious, he resolved that he would become a bizarre monster henceforth. Recognizing himself as a monster, even if it meant pouring out countless sacrifices, He would wait for the day he could see her again. Only then, he believed he would return not as a bizarre monster, but as Jo Yeon from that wonderfully mysterious and beautiful time... He made that resolution. "I am..." Looking at [Her] in his arms, he muttered. "The father (父君) of monsters (怪物)" Contemplating his bizarre and hideous self within his madness... Jo Yeon thus became the Mad Lord (怪君).
Well, time to write a couple of paragraphs glazing my boy Seo YunHyun. First thing, his time loop is too long. He gets to live too long. If it was a short time travel then it wouldn't have been so bad. in his case, he gets to live with people, he gets to make precious strong connections with them, only to regress and see those people replaced by clones of themselves with the same memory. That is what gets to him all the time. Plus, the struggle to stay human is also difficult. He is caged by the timeline. He can not escape. Every cycle or round ends with a tearjerker. He always either sacrifices himself or sees others sacrificed in his place. Seo is a good man trying to survive and live in a bad world. There are some good people like him littered through the place, but that only makes the tragedy worse. It's great. But I got tired by chapter 400 or something. It was feeling like a chore for me at that point. I was reading that non stop for a coupledays and got burned out. I still remember some of the plot points after so long. Which is a testament to how good the story was. Feel free to give it a read and I guarantee you'll get hooked. Thanks for reading, hope you have a good day.
It was awesome in the first part, but i felt like it kinda lost the plot when the MC ascended to the higher realm, it focused more on the MC's tragedy, and defined his character by all the tragedy he suffers, when prior, it was more about personal growth, also it started getting repetitive when he only ever has the ability to surpass his limits moments before he dies
Just finished reading shadow slave after watching one of your videos and for my first light novel I really enjoyed it I’ll definitely check this one out too
request----------------> can you make a video on BEYOND the timescape/ outside of time ---> written by ergen i personally liked the mc and the side characters the novel has tragedy, funny moments------> the mc is not cold and detached but he's like gu changge, showing cold demeanor to other but a soft character towards his loved ones.and yes the mc does have romantic relations but is embarassed. not only that but we also got SLAUGHTER'S appearance
Does that mean that you think Reverend Insanity is just like the other cultivation novels too and you think A Regressor's Tale of Cultivation is way better? (I have only read Ri and it's my favorite fiction so I can't let that slide)
No, even if the genre may be filled with Fang Yuan wannabes, RI does it the best and more. I just love Regressor’s so much because it’s a new take on the genre that’s so refreshing and executed in a manner that’s top notch. I encourage you to give Regressor’s a shot, as I’ve even seen fellow RI readers in the comments root for Seo to not give up his righteous heart. If I’m being honest, Regressor’s Tale of Cultivation feels like an alternative timeline where Fang Yuan is given more options to be good, so he stays good and is able to use his endless willpower and determination in more altruistic ways.
ive caught upto the novel, the novel itself is an argument against 'strong over the weak', WARNING= the novel's mc is very criticising and has a soft heart so you may feel annoyed reading it, so dont drop the novel midway, right now i have caught up with the novel and the fights are so good THE novel may seem kinda normal but beleive me the antagonist's are so good and the side character are also decent written. after SEO EUN HYUN ASCENDS FROM THE HEAD RREALM you will se LOTM type shit, beleive me, "immortals" are so-so scary they gave me lotm ADAM vibes while reading, merely knowing of their existence and speaking of their name will allow them to find you. they are cruel and wont hesitate to sacrifice lives for shits and giggles. SPOILERS(JUST TO SHOW YOU HOW RUTHLESS THEY ARE)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AFTER seo yun is coming back from the ancient force realm, the mountain god annihilated seo euns companions and his lover just to see him writh in pain and also place great misfortune on him only for the sake of entertainment.
@@fork6057 IF YOU LIKE MC's who arent edgy heres a recommendation -----> beyond the timescape by ergen(author of renegade immortal and many other) its a story where it is not the cultivators who rule but the gods.
I tried reading cultivation novels many times... I really tried... But every time I end up with nope, I'm not reading the story of how this jerk managed to seduce the most beautiful woman there was😂.
if youre willing to give it a try, theres a cultivation novel on royalroad called - virtuous sons. its not exactly traditional cultivation, aligning more with greek philosophy rather than the usual taoist or demonic ones in cultivation novels, but its genuinely peak storytelling. the first few chapters are kind of slow, but when it picks up its amazing
I'm in chapter 460 and for me RToC is better than LoTM. LoTM is peak, but has a lot of wasted potential. things like other churches or other god's forsaken lands cities was complete underutilized. the concept of the world building is amazing, but is pratice only a few things were really well explored. but in RToC the author look for explore as many things as possible, with no blanks. the emotional peaks in RToC are undisputably higher than LoTM emotional peak. RToC also has much more depth and the percentage of explored and developed characters is very higher. I really hate how cuttlefish uses the side characters, for me it is one of the worst things in LoTM. regressor's tale of cultivation is the better version of lord of the mysteries
