Jamie, you’re my soul sister LOL. I’m convinced. I flipped burgers at the dubs back in the day too, I’ve never enjoyed Friends, and had that same suitcase 😂 Only my suitcase was dark pink with blue clasps & handle, and I kept Barbies inside, until I got that old boxy Barbie suitcase with the dents built in for Barbies…. Remember those? 😅 I haven’t been to a Value Village in ages, but kinda stopped going due to them overcharging to a point it felt morally wrong. I find most success in smaller thrift shops… MCC’s are the best in my opinion. I’m not sure you have any out there, but really enjoy watching your thrifting adventures @ Frenchie’s- which we don’t have here lol. It’s a treat to have Victoria Day off and after a very busy weekend, knowing I can chill on the couch and unwind to Vintage Vibes 😉 Hope you had a great long weekend, as well!! 🩷

Those dishes you liked are vintage! From the 1950s I believe. They’re called Vernonware. Very cute! Kitchenware is my weakness!

That Judy Garland picture would look good in your movie room. That was a very pretty shade of blue on that lamp. When I was a teen, I loved shades of purple like in those vases. Guess it was just a precursor to my adult love of red. You received a sweet smile from Jon when you caught him on video. Saw some very pretty dishes. I liked the ones that you said would go with your kitchen. I never watched Friends either but I was never one to watch a lot of tv or movies. I really did like Homicide: Life on the Street though.
I loved the purple vases too! The Judy picture ended up being just cut out of a magazine and the frame was broken so I just thought $10.00 was way too much haha

I think you have a good idea about collecting all the white geese items now... save the memories!
I noticed with all the re-selling going on, people are now selling thier throw away items inherited in place of donating... and the thrift shops are selling the items online as well for a higher price, why the shelves 'everytwhere' are becoming empty in thrift shops. sad times. 🤔
That is such a good point Sandra a lot of people are start ing to sell their stuff, which is probably lowering the amount of donations.

Jamie I'm in Australia and we get a lot of empty shelves these days too....I have been wondering myself what is going on and thinking if perhaps it has something to do with the fact that more and more thrift stores are opening up everywhere...so people have more donation options....also a lot more people are thriftting here than back in the day when it was more a novelty so perhaps more demand....but it is interesting you are seeing this in canada too.....I froze the quiche Lorraine recipe and might have to make it......been a long time between quiches for me! Hehe.. I'm a bit sad you didn't get the little cat wall plaque too ...! But I'm sure something similar will come up again !
I think it is probably a combination of all those things. I guess the thing I find the weirdest is that everyone is complaining about prices but obviously someone is okay paying those prices haha

I really liked your video and you didn't rush through items like I have seen on some RUclips videos. Only thing I didn't care at all for was the background music you chose. Maybe, some nice soft acoustic folk guitar to accompany the video would be nicer to listen to. The music you selected was kind of distracting and reminded me of some game TV show music. I like your voice though.
Thanks for watching 😊 Music taste is a very personal thing, I don’t expect everyone to like the music I choose and unfortunately I can’t make everyone happy. So I choose to make my self happy and do what I like on my channel. 1950s shopping music is a perfect vibe for a shopping video on a vintage channel and lots of people here enjoy it too. Listening to folk music would be actually torture for me, and definitely doesn’t fit with my channel vibe. If I came across a video with music I didn’t like I would just click away and not give it another thought. Thank you for the suggestion but as I tell everyone I’m not changing the music or anything about my channel to try and please others. If people are here watching I want it to be because they enjoy me and my videos exactly the way they are 😊

Ok, doesn't have to be folky but the music choice could be better then what you have playing. And it really is distracting and you could have selected SOMETHING other then that music. Goes better with a game show on TV then overpowering your voice. Surely, there is other music you listen to and like besides that one you are playing. Have a nice day..
But this is your opinion, not the opinion of everyone or do you believe that your opinion is the only opinion? Cause that’s how it comes across. I didn’t make this video for you so why would I change my videos for you 😂 The music fits the vibe of the channel which is why I use it, I listen to heavy metal music but I wouldn’t use it on my vintage channel for that reason. It’s my channel I do what I want and I don’t care who likes it or who doesn’t 😂
Preach girl!!!!! I've been waching for years but never comment, love your channel and love how real you always are. After seeing this comment I feel upset for you and I understand why you were frustrated a few months ago. I am also one of the ones who love your music, it's the perfecct music for your channel. It's baffling to me how many people think you should change it just because they do't like it. Like what is wrong with people, the entitlement behind these comments is astounding! Please know that so many of us love you and your channel exactly the way you are!!
You provide a comfort watch to so many of us, watching your videos provides me an escape from my busy life and I look forward to them every week.

Thank you so much ☺️ (I’m not a big commenter either so I understand) I really appreciate hearing this from you, so many people tell me I’m a comfort watch for them and I still find it hard to believe. Please, please, please don’t feel upset on my behalf, these comments don’t make me feel upset so I don’t want anyone else to feel upset (this is why I wanted to turn comments off because I didn’t want anyone else feeling upset) there are so many terrible things happening in the world that are worth of being upset about this definitely is t one of them. We actually find these comments pretty funny but also they can get annoying I guess 😂 I do think people feel a weird sense of entitlement when it comes to creators, I don’t understand why people feel compelled to share their personal preferences as if the creators made the video specifically for them and somehow “got it wrong” 😂 The frustration comes from over 50% of people will delete their comment after I respond 😂 like no I want people to read this, I stand behind my decisions. I was thinking of doing a PSA in the comments maybe it’s a good time to start that 😂 Trust me there is no way I will never change to try and please others, in fact the more people tell me to change it the more I’m not going to 😂 Thank you so much for watching and I’m glad you enjoy my videos just the way they are 😊
