This whole thing with Sam is SO forced. Sam has always known the dangers. She was a grifter and conwoman with enemies of her own. Her father has enemies. Jason does too. But at this point, it’s too late to walk away and Sam is smart enough to know that. Kelly loves playing the badass in HEELS so let her play the real Sam. This watered down shell of the character I love has no place on my screen!

And when Danny was born Sam changed to me. I think that the realization is that it's not just her anymore and the dangers are too real. Robin knew the Mob life as well, but when Patrick and Emma came into her life, she took one giant step away from the life. Because she created new life and that life deserves a chance without the baggage.

Sam is really wishy washy. Elizabeth was highly criticized for wanting to keep Jake from all the violence. And Sam was one of the big ones in Liz's face for wanting to keep Jake away from the violence. Now the shoe is on the other foot and Sam's son almost died. Now Liz looks like she made the better choice. I would love to see Sam walk away from Jason. They do not belong together anymore.
Ok all Sam did with Joss was listen, everything joss said were her own feelings, valid ones at that. Yes I hate that sam is having second thoughts about all of this, yes she knew what she signed up for when she had Danny with Jason. But as a mother I can absolutely see her point, this is the first time Danny's life was put in danger simply by being around Jason. That put a harsh fast light on the reality of this situation for Sam. I also don't like the way Jason has handled this whole thing, he has kept her in the dark. Yes she dosen't need to know everything but he used to confide in her and tell her when things really started to escalate, like Sonny has done with Carly. Dont get me wrong I am a hardcore JaSam shipper and I want them to stay together, but that doesn't mean I cant see Sam's point in all of this.

While I know she doesn't know that yet, as a fan who does, I'm sick of this constant storyline. If the writers don't want Jason and Sam together, the break them up and leave it alone. Surprising chemistry in a way....and they could have a great push pull 'courtship'. Valentin is sneaky and clever and mischievous.....but doesn't get involved in the mob shoot outs. He's kinda a 'dark side' Robert Scorpio....who gets so close to being good. Maybe a 'good woman' could convert him? I think his love for Nina is admirable...and charming....but what if he had a love interest who could really push him more? He'd be great with Anna but don't think that's gonna happen and well...there's not an abundance of characters on GH so just a thought. Who would you pair her with if Drew doesn't come back?

I'm neither a Carly nor Sam fan... I dislike them both, equally. So for me to defend Sam's position against Carly just means I fundamentally agree with Sam's position. You don't raise children in this unsafe and unstable environment if you want them to mature as solid human beings. I find it funny that people can know the trauma Sonny endured as a child, see the life course he took as a result of that trauma, but they can't see how his own children could experience the same.

Thank you! Everyone seems to forget that Sonny didn't even get to see much of Morgan half his life because she wanted Jax to raise him safer. Sam has always been fine with being in danger but she never had one of her children be treated by their lifestyle before, like let the girl process her son's near death for like a minute. And I think Joss and Sam could actually help each other if they talked through things whenever they feel this way.

Jocelyn is the one who started talking to Sam or was I watching a different thing. Jocelyn said she doesn't want to complain that means she is going to need to talk to someone else who isn't Jason, Carly or Sonny and obviously it can't be Jax or he is gonna feel like he needs to do something about it. And you know what, I loved bad ass Sam but she is a mom now she has to grow up at some point and I think she is just trying to do that. Carly walked away from Sonny for a bit for a normal safer life so Sam can too. I will miss Jasam terribly but I think she owes that to herself and her kids, to say that she atleast tried to walk away at some point. I feel so bad for Josslyn. She is saying that she could have an entirely different life. And that life should not be life this. Jax can give her that normal that she wants (with unlimited legit funds). But, I feel like Carly put so much pressure on Josslyn to stay with her. Carly just heard it straight from Josslyn mouth, but she doesn't want to hear it. Carly figures if I signed up for this life, my kids are in it too. But, the one thing Carly needs to own is that Josslyn has a Father who can provide and care for her. Be the best Co-parents you can be for Josslyn, put her first. But, Jax can protect Josslyn (and you know if he can't Jerry will). Josslyn is still young enough, where she could still enjoy her life. Without having to dip and dive from bullets and be kept on lock down, like a dog in a cage. It would just mean for Carly to let go of her pride and ego, and for once put her children first.

Josslyn said that when she is with her Dad away from Port Charles, that she has normal. She loves Jason and Sonny but it's sad that basically she is saying that her life will always be like a prison because of the lifestyle that her Mother picked. Carly had an opportunity for a normal life when she asked Jax to adopt her kids to keep them safe from the Mob and Sonny. But, Sonny is her weakness and she picked herself again instead of the safety of her kids.
So Carly is saying that you can learn to live a lie just for love. Lie to the kids until theyre older and taught that its all okay. You might as well tell someone that anything even bad things, such as abuse is okay as long as there's love. What he does is okay and can be explained away. A way to twist the truth. Sam is finally growing up. It would be irresponsible of Sam not to contemplate her future with Jason. The fantasy of jasam is great but the reality is that she is with a hitman that will never put her kids or her first. Sam and the kids have the right to want a normal life. Jason can to be a hitman and ride his motorcycle(with no helmet)until he is 80 and no one would bat an eye but Sam would look crazy doing that. She needs to be with someone who will finally put her and her kids needs first. You can't be with a bad boy forever if the bad boy chooses not to change. I.E. Luke and Laura and Frisco and Felicia (i am an OG, lol). Sonny and Carly are the exception but it came with a price.
I am glad to see real conversations from a woman's point of view about being in these situations and living this life. There are sacrifices made that you have to grapple with. I wish daytime soap operas would go deep emotionally like this on a regular basis because these feelings are real.
It was so nice and refreshing to genuinely see these conversations brought up. IT feels like too often in GH, they pretty much glause over the danger of the lives they lead. We don't get to hear the concerns of the spouses/kids, particularly the teens like Joss. It was nice when these storylines were happening to see that not only do things things happen, but they can cause real issues in the relationship. I hope that Chase and Brooklyn go through more of these moments because we need to see that as great as being a cop/mobster or being with a cop/mobster's wife or kid, there's that constant fear that something could happen to them and they won't come home, or because of who they are, they will be a target.
They could have kept this scene because of what happened with Jason and Elizabeth. Working together to keep Jake safe. They both dogged her for putting her kids first. They even spoke harshly to Jason when he fought to keep Jake identity secret.

Because he and Sam had been separated by the Violence for so long. He was thinking of his Family! And YES, I know that Billy Miller was Not really Jason Morgan but I kinda liked the More Emotional Family Man way he played the Role. Granted since his return Steve has done a little more Emotion in the Role. But, right now JaSam Do Not Seem To Be On The Same Page! Heck they're hardly ever in the Same Room for more than 5 minutes and they are Rarely ALONE TOGETHER!

I'm a little confused about this one because I like the way jasam used to be but they aren't the same. Also everyone has the right to change their mind about being in a relationship if you can call it that. They hardly spend anytime together and don't have that same spark anymore. Before the restrictions, I blame the writers for not being creative enough to include her into scenes but that's another issue. I'm not sure it would have made a difference to bring Mike to see Donna. He met Donna , but she was a new addition to the family and they had not formed a bond yet. Carly and Sonny are older, but if she able to get pregnant naturally she was not too old. Carly is nosey, can't argue with that point. Only justification is that she believes she is protecting those close to her by getting information and many times she actually is right. However they've wrapped up baby dolls in substitution since the beginning too. Think little Ricky on “I Love Lucy”, and the hundreds of other babies since. Some have just looked like rolled up blankets without a doll underneath. My problem is Carly and Sonny don't even talk about the baby, what parents of a newborn aren't taking a million photos on their phones and boring everyone they know with the newest pictures of the baby? They don't talk to each other, or other people about the baby. That's not normal. That's what might happen when the baby is still born, or dies from sudden infant death syndrome. People don't know what to say, so they often say nothing. And they taped the birth story, and surgery, before Covid19 lockdown, so they could have taken the baby to see Mike. Ava took Avery to see Mike a couple of times. Mike didn't get to see Donna. They told him that they named the baby after Donna from the old neighborhood, and that made Mike happy. But Mike did not get to see the baby. And they filmed a month or two ahead of time, so that was long before Covid19 lockdown. It's as if the writers completely forgot that Donna happened at all. Therefore making Carly one of the worst mothers ever. Joan Crawford (“no more wire hangers!!!”), is one of the top worst mothers of all time. Ignoring your newborn, never spending time with her, never talking about the baby, never feeding the baby, no pictures of the baby, friends don't ask about the baby, doctor visits aren't happening, follow up from the surgery hasn't happened. Yes! Finally Sam realizes what she really needs. Love is not enough. Danny is getting older to the point where if Jason still consistently does what he does, he may resent him and one day recognize him as a deadbeat dad. Especially since he's also an older sibling who may feel that he has to help take care of Scout. Sorry, but that's just the reality of their situation. Sam needs to think carefully about how to approach this. She has to be certain and not just rush the decision.

His job will practically take him away from his family often at the drop of a hat, so that's not reliable. There is a possibility that Danny and Scout will resent him one day for not being around often when needed. Whether he is better with the kids is strictly opinion, no matter the evidence. Her response to suddenly being more concerned than ever is appropriate for the situation. It's simple. She's only starting to realize the impact of her choice to stay with Jason. Essentially a reality shock. This is normal of anyone in her situation who thought that it can work, but all of a sudden, reality sets in. Nothing wrong with her reaction. Erasing the danger may not be possible, but she can manage and try to minimize it. Michael Corinthos is a good example of someone who's managed to minimize the threat to his life from the mob. It's not always about erasing. Sometimes, it's simply a matter of managing and minimizing the threat.

And when Danny was born Sam changed to me. I think that the realization is that it's not just her anymore and the dangers are too real. Robin knew the Mob life as well, but when Patrick and Emma came into her life, she took one giant step away from the life. Because she created new life and that life deserves a chance without the baggage.

Sam is really wishy washy. Elizabeth was highly criticized for wanting to keep Jake from all the violence. And Sam was one of the big ones in Liz's face for wanting to keep Jake away from the violence. Now the shoe is on the other foot and Sam's son almost died. Now Liz looks like she made the better choice. I would love to see Sam walk away from Jason. They do not belong together anymore.
Ok all Sam did with Joss was listen, everything joss said were her own feelings, valid ones at that. Yes I hate that sam is having second thoughts about all of this, yes she knew what she signed up for when she had Danny with Jason. But as a mother I can absolutely see her point, this is the first time Danny's life was put in danger simply by being around Jason. That put a harsh fast light on the reality of this situation for Sam. I also don't like the way Jason has handled this whole thing, he has kept her in the dark. Yes she dosen't need to know everything but he used to confide in her and tell her when things really started to escalate, like Sonny has done with Carly. I think his love for Nina is admirable...and charming....but what if he had a love interest who could really push him more? I'm neither a Carly nor Sam fan... I dislike them both, equally. So for me to defend Sam's position against Carly just means I fundamentally agree with Sam's position. You don't raise children in this unsafe and unstable environment if you want them to mature as solid human beings. I find it funny that people can know the trauma Sonny endured as a child, see the life course he took as a result of that trauma, but they can't see how his own children could experience the same.

Thank you! Everyone seems to forget that Sonny didn't even get to see much of Morgan half his life because she wanted Jax to raise him safer. Sam has always been fine with being in danger but she never had one of her children be treated by their lifestyle before, like let the girl process her son's near death for like a minute. Jocelyn is the one who started talking to Sam or was I watching a different thing. Jocelyn said she doesn't want to complain that means she is going to need to talk to someone else who isn't Jason, Carly or Sonny and obviously it can't be Jax or he is gonna feel like he needs to do something about it.
And you know what, I loved bad ass Sam but she is a mom now she has to grow up at some point and I think she is just trying to do that. I feel so bad for Josslyn. She is saying that she could have an entirely different life. And that life should not be life this. Jax can give her that normal that she wants (with unlimited legit funds). But, I feel like Carly put so much pressure on Josslyn to stay with her. Carly just heard it straight from Josslyn mouth, but she doesn't want to hear it. Carly figures if I signed up for this life, my kids are in it too. But, the one thing Carly needs to own is that Josslyn has a Father who can provide and care for her. Be the best Co-parents you can be for Josslyn, put her first. But, Jax can protect Josslyn (and you know if he can't Jerry will). Josslyn is still young enough, where she could still enjoy her life. Without having to dip and dive from bullets and be kept on lock down, like a dog in a cage. It would just mean for Carly to let go of her pride and ego, and for once put her children first.

Sam is finally growing up. It would be irresponsible of Sam not to contemplate her future with Jason. The fantasy of jasam is great but the reality is that she is with a hitman that will never put her kids or her first. Sam and the kids have the right to want a normal life. Jason can to be a hitman and ride his motorcycle(with no helmet)until he is 80 and no one would bat an eye but Sam would look crazy doing that. She needs to be with someone who will finally put her and her kids needs first. You can't be with a bad boy forever if the bad boy chooses not to change. I.E. Luke and Laura and Frisco and Felicia (i am an OG, lol). Sonny and Carly are the exception but it came with a price.
I am glad to see real conversations from a woman's point of view about being in these situations and living this life. There are sacrifices made that you have to grapple with. I wish daytime soap operas would go deep emotionally like this on a regular basis because these feelings are real.
It was so nice and refreshing to genuinely see these conversations brought up. IT feels like too often in GH, they pretty much glause over the danger of the lives they lead. We don't get to hear the concerns of the spouses/kids, particularly the teens like Joss. It was nice when these storylines were happening to see that not only do things things happen, but they can cause real issues in the relationship. I hope that Chase and Brooklyn go through more of these moments because we need to see that as great as being a cop/mobster or being with a cop/mobster's wife or kid, there's that constant fear that something could happen to them and they won't come home, or because of who they are, they will be a target.
They could have kept this scene because of what happened with Jason and Elizabeth. Working together to keep Jake safe. They both dogged her for putting her kids first. They even spoke harshly to Jason when he fought to keep Jake identity secret.

These are different writers but they starting to write the same crap. Sam tossed Drew like 10 day old trash for Jason. Jason lifestyle is not new to Sam so why do they keep writing these stupid azz lines for her this way. It was not a problem when Drew and Sam hosted Joss and Oscar prom at that same Floating Rib but all of a sudden it's a problem for Jason to bond with his kid showing him how to play pool at that same Floating Rib. REALLY! Are they going back to writing for "Stupid Sam" Her character is beginning to look like another dumbass Elizabeth. Whining...I want Jason but his life is dangerous. I can handle his life, but I want him to leave that life. I want him to be a father to my kids, but just not in public. This is why spanish novelas only last 6 months to avoid 🤬 like this.

If Carly is such a great Mom, why hasn't she even spoken of her new born baby since she gave birth? Where's Donna? Cell phones have cameras, she should be boring all of her friends with a thousand pictures of her newborn daughter Donna. Yet she didn't even bring baby Donna to see Mike before he died. And has not mentioned her once since the surgery. Neither has Sonny. They are too old to have more children, this is their last possible child, and they ignore her. At least we see Avery a couple of times a year.
Carly only cares about Carly, she is so self centered; and sticking her nose in everybody else's business. She's the nosiest person I've ever seen. Which being a mob moll she should know that is very dangerous. Not knowing what's going on is a lot safer. And being nosey and in the hotel hospitality industry is a conflict of interest.
She also thinks she's always right, when she rarely is. And she's rude.
That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.

@@BROUBoomer She has spoken to Donna. I'm sure you are aware of the filming restrictions due to COVID, which is why we do not see Donna on screen. Before the restrictions, I blame the writers for not being creative enough to include her into scenes but that's another issue. I'm not sure it would have made a difference to bring Mike to see Donna. He met Donna , but she was a new addition to the family and they had not formed a bond yet. Carly and Sonny are older, but if she able to get pregnant naturally she was not too old. Carly is nosey, can't argue with that point. Only justification is that she believes she is protecting those close to her by getting information and many times she actually is right. I understand about Covid19 filming restrictions, and concerns.
Babies have never been allowed much screen time since the beginning of TV. However they've wrapped up baby dolls in substitution since the beginning too. Think little Ricky on “I Love Lucy”, and the hundreds of other babies since. Some have just looked like rolled up blankets without a doll underneath.
My problem is Carly and Sonny don't even talk about the baby, what parents of a newborn aren't taking a million photos on their phones and boring everyone they know with the newest pictures of the baby? They don't talk to each other, or other people about the baby. That's not normal. That's what might happen when the baby is still born, or dies from sudden infant death syndrome. People don't know what to say, so they often say nothing. And they taped the birth story, and surgery, before Covid19 lockdown, so they could have taken the baby to see Mike. Ava took Avery to see Mike a couple of times. Mike didn't get to see Donna. They told him that they named the baby after Donna from the old neighborhood, and that made Mike happy. But Mike did not get to see the baby. And they filmed a month or two ahead of time, so that was long before Covid19 lockdown. It's as if the writers completely forgot that Donna happened at all. Therefore making Carly one of the worst mothers ever. Joan Crawford (“no more wire hangers!!!”), is one of the top worst mothers of all time.
Ignoring your newborn, never spending time with her, never talking about the baby, never feeding the baby, no pictures of the baby, friends don't ask about the baby, doctor visits aren't happening, follow up from the surgery hasn't happened. Nothing. Absolutely not normal. Just weird.

I get what Sam coming from she love Jason and she wouldn’t want to change him but Jason need to stop always putting Carly and sonny before Sam and jake and Danny like shit he don’t talk about jake Carly told Jason about the art camp. Sam was so scared and thought Danny died in that bomb lucky Jason got a call and took Danny home but still Jason love Carly and sonny and would do anything for them. Yes! Finally Sam realizes what she really needs. Love is not enough. Danny is getting older to the point where if Jason still consistently does what he does, he may resent him and one day recognize him as a deadbeat dad. Especially since he's also an older sibling who may feel that he has to help take care of Scout.
Sorry, but that's just the reality of their situation. Sam needs to think carefully about how to approach this. She has to be certain and not just rush the decision.

@@malakhammad3602 you sound like a blind fan of Jason, which if you are, would imply bias. And yes, a deadbeat as in not around often. His job will practically take him away from his family often at the drop of a hat, so that's not reliable. There is a possibility that Danny and Scout will resent him one day for not being around often when needed. Whether he is better with the kids is strictly opinion, no matter the evidence.
Her response to suddenly being more concerned than ever is appropriate for the situation. It's simple. She's only starting to realize the impact of her choice to stay with Jason. Essentially a reality shock. This is normal of anyone in her situation who thought that it can work, but all of a sudden, reality sets in. Nothing wrong with her reaction.
Erasing the danger may not be possible, but she can manage and try to minimize it. Michael Corinthos is a good example of someone who's managed to minimize the threat to his life from the mob. It's not always about erasing. Sometimes, it's simply a matter of managing and minimizing the threat.
