Well, judging from his last birthday mail: we can assume that Nahida’s been closely in touch with Wanderer everywhere so maybe after all of those experiences he’s gradually adapting to Nahida’s mind reading skill. But yet again, during his archon quest before he erased himself from Irminsul he did have a sharp sense about Nahida communicating privately with Traveller while Wanderer’s there

Don't forget when he was in posession of the electro gnosis, he could do the same thing nahida does. He literally entered the travlers head and had a conversation with us while manifesting in our consciousness while being invisible and unhearable by the surrounding people. Even without the gnosis and with erasing himself from the Irminsul, he's still one of the most powerful beings on Teyvat. He was a harbinger for a reason and a pretty high ranked one at that.
This Hat Guy has scary resemblance with Scaramouche, Ex-6th Fatui Harbringer, Wanderer, Kunikuzushi, Shouki no Kami the Prodigy, Everlasting Lord of Arcane Wisdom, and that fruit stall guy.

@@beatrix2110 maybe not a 4th-wall break per sé, but the programmers definitely knew players would try to read his mind with nahida’s skill, so instead of the typical thing other characters said when you read their minds, they made it as if he was self-aware and decided to take a slight jab at players for trying to see through him
well he is a robot made by a god, so it should be natural that he can detect godly powers trying to see into him

I love the idea that Wanderer will have a different name every time he shows up in the story. That way they can actually voice act his name without having to do some AI name reader thing, plus it fits super well with his incognito theme. Really nice solution.

@@JuliRat It is not. He has no canon name beyond "Hat Guy" or the ambigious 'Wanderer' since in-canon he is named by the traveler. Since he rejects his past names.

When he became a god of a moment with the gnosis, he projected himself into the travelers mind and other things so I guess that this plus him being close with Nahida make him pretty familiar to mind reading

Scara after getting some of the powers of the akasha he is able to communicate threw the mind.
We seen it before with traveler in his story quest.
Given his previous position in the fetui, it doesn’t really surprise me that he is so aware of his surroundings, as they say old habits die hard
Hat boy is able to protect his thoughts because he has a hat. Unbelievable, this is how you prevent mind reading.

I think maybe because Nahida needs to be somewhat near her target in order to use the skill, wanderer can feel her presence thus leading him to think like that as a no touchy barrier, it works just like when we put do not disturb sign on the door when we don't want mama to clean our pigsty room.

My theory is that the wanderer is guarded at all times and has a strong will, maybe most vision holders can stop the mind reading but there too unguarded (I did not go to sumeru yet so I don't know the other characters personality in detail)

Bruh, Nahida basically read his mind. He just thought of it, thus that is what Nahida read because that is literally what's in his mind.
I don't think that exactly, I think he can feel her or something like that and he is just talking to her with his mind to let her know he is completely aware, the thing is that there are no more thoughts, lines, or info apart from that, so yes, he can block Nahida.
Like commnet up there- The way to ''block'' Nahida is don't think anything else to don't give up info.
@@jkgrt Of course there will be no other thoughts after that. Even NPCs and Characters can have one thought statement only when Nahida read their mind. It's just how her mind reading works in the game, but her power can do the reading all day. It's not like the developers will put in long mind stories that Nahida can read. It could be true that Scara is aware when Nahida is reading his mind, but he definitely has no power to block the God of Wisdom. That's overestimating him.

@@prar7450 Scaramouche was never a god. The project failed. If it had succeeded, the knowledge capsules would have erased everything that was known as ‘Scaramouche.’ But because his ego remained (during the fight), the project failed.
Had it succeeded, Scaramouche’s consciousness would’ve been completely replaced, which was the goal - to erase Scaramouche completely and simply use his puppet form as a tool to store the canned knowledge containing divine wisdom. He was never a god, let alone a god of wisdom. It’s like people just ff the dialogue smh.

I just got nahida yesterday, it was fun reading everyone's minds! Although, i hoped i could do that to people out of sumeru too 😔
One thing I just noticed recently is her hold E has different symbols depending on what are you aiming at. Using it at havestable material it will show a hand grabbing the item, and when using it on NPC it will show a smiley face.
Technically,Nahida can,but mhy just don't want to spoil what was going to happens,if you talked to him near the café,he said he will involve when thing get serious,he know what was going to happens anyway ,mhy didn't even let us see what he thinking when he is there. Tldr: it just an excuse to not spoil the event story ,nahida can always read his mind
