This was where my school took year 12’s on camp. That was back in ‘81. It’s as beautiful now as it was then. Thank for the walk down memory lane. Always a visual pleasure watching your videos 🤩

My Ancestor's went walk-a-bout in the norther end of this absolutely spectacular place. I really makes me feel like home. Every time I see this place, all I can think about is packing everything I own, & moving to this place. The video is really well done, thou there is just a feeling you get when you or I go there. The only other place I get that warm feeling of home in the bush, is the Blackdown Tablelands. Seriously two of my favourite places on the planet. If the zombie apocalypse ever happens, you can bet dollars for donuts, that you'll probably find me in one or the other.

@@IntotheWildFilms Not only the sandstone. It's the smell of the eucalypts, Carnarvon Fan Palm & all of the other flora. The unique biodiversity of flora & fauna, is something to behold. Some of the rock art maybe features some of my Ancestor's hand paintings. I've only just started to watch some more of your video's. I'm certainly enjoying what I see. Cheers Phil. Keep up the great work. We need to show the rest of the world, what Australia has to offer. We also have a duty to protect, the fragile ecosystems of our beautiful country.🌏🍻🦘🐨👍

Hey Paul, great to hear from you, thanks mate. Shot the footage for this one back in 2016. It is a wonderful spot, we spent 3 days there too, just enough time to explore all parts of the upper and lower gorge. Did you stay at Takarakka? Would be great to catch up and swap stories some time. Stay safe mate, cheers Phil

I seen a lot of Australia but as far as "bang for your buck" goes in one location (if you are prepared to walk) this is the spot. Stay a few days, do all the walks, constant running water to cool off, pick the time of year to go avoiding summer (flooding) and winter (cold). The camp site at Takarakka has Taka tents if you don't have a camper etc and the cooking/mess facilities are fabulous. At night when walking around wear shoes and carry a torch as echnidas are everywhere

I didn't know this place, and I didn't know there was such a great channel!
I traveled by motorbike from Brisbane to Perth and Pinnacles in 1995.
I want to go to the place I couldn't go at that time, but I want to go to the place I went again someday.
I'll put it in my to-do list.

Did this trip long B4 all the ''Furniture'' was installed. We always have to add our city junk to Nature. Now it looks like a city park somewhere. Another piece of Nature wrecked.

Thanks for watching. Our experience was not affected by the amenities installed by Qld National Parks. The occasional seats were very welcome after some of the rugged hiking with all the camera gear :) Stay safe, cheers Phil
