It's nice to see I'm not the only one who plans to add things to my bags but forgets to a minute later. I too have the memory of a fish! Thanks for being honest and admitting it! The bag turned out lovely anyway.
Girl, you are a wonderful seamstress and I love all your different types of bags, and other types of products you teach us. So easy to follow and enjoyable to do...
Beautiful bag and design, Christine! I'm itching to sew again but have vowed to clean/organize/purge my craft/sewing room first. Almost done. Giving myself to the end of the month, then I'll be sewing again. Hugs from Nevada, Cathy❤
Beautiful fabric. I’ve just bought some gorgeous fabric recently. No idea what to make with it yet though Fabric is just so addictive isn’t it. haha. I’m also reluctant to even cut it. I leave it on the cutting table just to look at for a while. lol. Who else does this. Am I a nutcase. 🤪 thanks Christine x
Lovely bag. January is “clean my sewing room month”. As I begin and, like you did, come across a fabric that I don’t want to put back into the cupboard, I sew a project. In other words, I attempt to sew my way out of the clutter. Thanks again for sharing your expertise. K in Canada
I am so happy I've discovered you! I love your designs and tutorials, and I find your voice comforting😊. I have a request...not expecting you to grant it, just hoping. My little nephew loves card games and I'd like to make him a fabric card case with a foldover lid.. I've not been able to find a good pattern for this and I've attempted to make my own and it's honestly depressing, it turned out sloppy and crooked. There are several patterns out there for leather card pouches but not for fabric. I know if you designed a case and did a tutorial it would be perfect. ❤❤❤❤❤
Christine!!!! I call that happy fabric! The kind that you love the feel of and the look of and you just want to play with it NOW because it makes you happy! Beautiful turn out for the left turn you took at the beginning of your day! Great tutorial
Yes!! A beautiful fabric and a wonderful bag. You can still add a ring!! Use a key ring!! Slip it on the handle the same way you put your keys on it!!!! Thank you Christine!!!
You are a machine Christine! 50 bags by the 23rd! Thanks again for the tips and tricks. My fav is the pen pocket. Never occurred to me to include that. Thank goodness I'm still doing the lining on my very first tote bag. Thank you again.😊
Another beautiful bag! Not that I expect anything less from you! You have an eye for details and make some beautiful AND useful items! ❤ can’t wait to see your next video! Thank you!
I have not even watched this yet but I "liked" it because I know I'll like it, haha! I was just thinking that I need to make some kind of tote bag with some fabric I have. XOXO Thank you Christine, you mind reader you. 🤣
Love the fabric and the bag. I love to make bags. I always put loops on the inside to clip things in the inside if wanted. Thank you great tips.Wow you rock. That is a lot of sewing. I know you have made other things too. You are an inspiration . That is a lot of bags.
That fabric is absolutely beautiful! And I love the pattern. & how in the world did u do 50 different patterns, oh my word! I thot i was doing good with sewing almost 30 different bags (not patterns) this yr.
Beautiful bag/fabric. 50 bags thus far this year/ you are prolific. I do well to make one craft in a day, and that’s usually accompanied by a little bit of profanity!
Hi Christine. That fabric is really beautiful. It brings thoughts of summer holidays for me. I feel that 'fabric distraction' is quite common for any one that sews and/or is a keen crafty person. Also if anyone has a young daughter, a mini version of that bag would be quick make so mum and daughter match up. Great video, thank you x PS - I managed to get some parlan here in the UK. I really like using it. Cheers for now
Great tutorial. Wonderful relaxed way of giving instruction which I really appreciated. And, so many tips that I didn't know about. Definitely going to follow the tutorial as I make the bag. Many thanks from Wales in UK.
i JUST saw a bag earlier today with a similar construction to prevent the tapering and I was wondering how that worked. Perfect timing on your video! Can't wait to try.
Your trick with the seam ripper is a game changer. I've been making some bags lately, and have been using the magnetic snaps. No holes torn. I ruined a hanging dish towel I had made a few years ago. I was cutting the hole for the button hole, had a pin across the ends to stop the seam ripper, and somebhow managed to shot right past it, and ruined the whole project. This was way before I found your channel. Now, I won't for get to do this, when making a holem
Now I know how to properly taper the side of bags, the measurment for them confused me. Thank you! I watched a video awhile back about how to get an square bottom vs a round one at the boxed corners. With tapered sides, place the 2 pieces together side by side and you will see it is not 90 degrees at the bottom corner. That "tip" part needs to be cut off so when you sew the box, it is flat like an untapered bag would be. So take your ruler after making the taper, place one edge at the inside corner and one edge at the side edge to make a 90 degree angle and snip off the extra piece. Practice on paper or scrap fabric first.
Love this bag I’d love to see more projects where you have used the heat press. I seem to recall you were going to embellish the not so nice fabrics. Have you done that yet?

So beautiful!, what type of fusible fleece did you use?
I use a product called Parlan. If you're in Australia, I have it on my website www.stitchthis.com.au
Hi Christy, I have a question do you prewash your fabrics ?and do you recommend it to prewash them
I usually only wash it if it's to be worn or if the fabric is dirty or smells😀
What thread do you use? Love your videos.
Sue, I use Gutermann sewing thread for almost everything 😀
What is the stabilizer that you use? Thanks

What cruel clickbait. No doggo in video. 😢
Haha, I was looking for a place to photograph the bag when Coco sat up as I walked by. I thought yep, that'll do. She wasn't so impressed😀
@ChristinesHomeAffairs 🤣🤣🤣 I love that so much. What a cutie! 🥰
