Hell yeah !!
Good on Ryan Phillipe for being there for Freddie!
it would cool to see them reunite
Its crazy too! People have said Phillippe was hard to work with but this regains my Faith
That’s amazing of Ryan for being so supportive 🙏🙏🙏
Yeah well Fred Prints Junior and Ryan Phillips were Home Dawgies. They had each others back incase anyone tried to do them dirty. They was super tight on every film they did together. Unfortunately Ryan Phillips was NOT in the sequel titled "I STILL Know What You Did Last Summer". The reason he was not in the sequel is because his character was killed off in the first film. Fred Prints still wanted Phillips there though so he pitched the idea of having a ghost version of Phillips character appear when Fred's character needed him. He could offer him advices or whatever. Unfortunately the studio decided against the idea which made Fred Prints almost quit the movie but Phillips convinced him to stick it out. Phillips instead went on to star in the hit blockbuster "School Intentions". It was a film about rich kids who go to private school. Fred Prints was NOT in that movie with Phillips BUT Fred Prints wife Sarah Michelle Gellar Prints was in that movie with Phillips.
@@jayteesgear I’ve heard he’s a major douche
That's such a shame that he was treated horribly by the director, considering that most fans prefer the first one to the sequel. But I'm glad he persevered because I love those two movies. I try to watch one or the other every July.
The director never went to do much of anything and hasn't made a film in years so joke is on him.
I think all the actors did a great job. It seemed believable. I feel a lot of horror movies these days miss the mark "acting" wise, but even though it's been a while, the film holds up. However, that is my unprofessional opinion.
@OhtheSuffiring
Probably because Kevin Williamson wrote the first film, not the director. Directors are way over rated. The script is way more important than the director.
Fred’s acting isn’t a match to the co stars but he did do a good job considering he was still new to the business.
The only good thing I got out of the second one was getting introduced to the song that played at the start of the end credits.
Dude. He had been acting for 1 year in this movie? That is insane he has such a good performance
He was barely in it.
@@maximusprime3459 yeah he said he was the lead but i always thought JLH was the lead tbh
@@Hypno_BPM Well, technically he's one of the four leads but all in all it was a JLH vehicle.
@@maximusprime3459 yeah i get that, my mind for slasher movies always goes to female leads ya know ?
I do agree...I repeat, it was a JLH vehicle.
I only watched that movie because I knew he was in it. Can’t believe the director demeaned him like that constantly. He did a great job in that movie.
OMG 😆 Freddie, Sarah, Ryan & Jennifer are like the iconic actors from the 90’s 🤩 sometimes I miss those days 🥹 Cruel Intentions, I know what you did last summer, scream… I watched them all over and over again back in the day 😂 thank you for the good memories ☺️
They were THE cool kids. Love all the movies you mentioned.
Couldn’t of said it any better 👍🏿
Sometimes you miss those days?? Lol I miss those days at least 3 times a week 😢😭
Back when movies were not full of ugly people with woke agenda.
Freddie Prinze Jr is the man! Great attitude, and great story.
We have all had those people who hate us for NO reason. They are just miserable and make an otherwise great opportunity into a nightmare.
very true
Like perer griffon
I Know What You Did Last Summer is a 90's classic
I love the opening shot with the credits.
Hell yeah freddy is a great actor part of my childhood movies he made
Yup. That movie, Scream, and Candyman maybe the top 3 slasher films of that decade
Freddie is such an amazing guy
He's got a CUTE Wife. Ms. Buffy herself, Sarah Michelle Gellar!
Not really, he's a whiny coward
Can’t wait to see the actual 3rd “I know” with Freddie and Jennifer, the other 3rd one was fake and not apart of the first original two, so it’s amazing they are finally doing this!
Freddie Prinze made the movie so much better I can't imagine another actor in this film and without Freddie! it would be cool to see Freddie and Ryan reunite
I love that he’s a real person with a lot of life experience getting into the industry. There are not a lot of people in Hollywood like that. Most are just like that little diva director.
Directors are fucking overrated anyways. The Screenwriters are WAY more important and come up with everything.
His Dad was Freddie Prinze Sr. Prinze's Widow did EVERYTHING she could in her power to protect their son from being exploited in Hollywood.
Didn't choose him my God he's one of the main reasons people watched it back in our day Freddie Prinze Jr was the man okay everybody was in love with him
4:04 Love what he had to say about respect 💯👏🏾
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
He seems like a super cool guy.
Imagine going through all that and meeting your future wife. Love you and SMG
He already had met her, dumbass.
The didn't meet on set or during this film, idiot.
@@MrParkerman6 you have a small dick for sure bro … not sure why else you’d be calling people those words over something so small
Love his Chris tucker reference. What an era 🎉
Love that Fifth Element reference ! I’m also enjoying FPJ’s more personal side, I’m glad he did what was best for him and his family. I like that he’s back acting, also I love the fact that he stood on his principles no matter what! Ppl will try to break you down man. Sometimes they see the greatness in us and we can’t quite see in ourselves especially being new to something and they hate it.
Thanks!
Freddie is cool. I remember how harsh the critics were to him back in the day.
yeah and look at everything he has done since he has had a lot of hit movies!
Freddie was my first crush! He could still get it! Love him!
Dude, what Freddie said about respect is so fuckin true.
I had such an enormous crush on Jennifer Love Hewitt when this movie came out, and when I saw Freddie was her love interest I remember thinking, "Who is this guy!? Who does he think he is?" Had no idea this was his first lead role. Now that my jealousy has waned, I think he's a pretty cool dude! Also empathize with him for having to deal with such a reckless director..
I always liked Freddie for his aura/presence back in the day to where I rooted for him to be as big as he can be 😅
He seems like a good dude
FPJ seems like he could rival hugh jackman and Keanu for nicest, most down-to-earth guys in Hollywood.
In the IMDB trivia section it says that:
“Jim Gillespie (the director) chose Freddie Prinze Jr. for the role of Ray, because he felt Prinze himself had an "everyman" quality much like the character.”
I think whoever added that piece of trivia didn’t think Freddie would drop that nugget of truth of how much the dude didn’t like him lol. That director’s career went to hell though apparently.
Lots of incorrect trivia on IMDB.
I was looking into the careers of both directors and while Danny Cannon unfortunately had his name attached to the Stallone Dredd movie in addition to ISKWYDLS, he's had a successful TV career.
@@jaybling6687 Gillespie shot a non lethal Stallone film as well.
He is such a humble grounded person!
When people hate on you for no reason, you know your doing something right. The director was probably jealous.
That's what I said in the comments that the director was likely jealous of Freddie being a potential ladies man.
Love you guys (Freddie and Sarah) and your family you guys rock never change , much respect to you guys from Melbourne Oz down under, lots of love to you and your family from me and family ♥️🇦🇺
IKWYDLS is one of those movies that you can't exactly say why you like it, but it's one you keep going back to out of nostalgia. The sequel was solid too.
BTW - They say that anything worth having is worth fighting for and that movie connected FPJ to his future wife. So it wound up being his best move. 💯
Cuz it was Written by Kevin Williamson and he is a great Horror Movie Screenwriter. Screenwriting is way more important than the directing anyways.
that cast was legendary
Loving these stories from FPJ and I’m definitely watching the whole thing now lol didn’t know he was so honest
Freddie and Ryan were the reason I wanted to see the movie
I just luv the 5th element reference...and I'm back in love
Chris really flex’s his interviewing skills, by just letting Freddie go. Love this
Being raised on FP JR , he is so cool haha
I love that movie, and I love him as an actor had no idea that was the experience! But it worked out for him. He got the best price of all the beautiful Sarah Michelle Gellar ❤
He already knew Sarah, dumbass.
They've been Childhood BFFs since like 1983.(He was 7, she was 6 and both attended the same Elementary School in Hollywood). I Know What you Did Last Summer was the first film they worked on together. But their Relationship Blossomed into Romance while filming Scooby Doo. That's when they FELL in Love with each other.
@@Tornado1994 They met on the set of "I Know What You Did Last Summer", began their romance in 2000 and were already a couple when they filmed Scooby Doo.
@@Wolfram__Hart They've been friends since Childhood. I Know What You did Last Summer was the first time they WORKED together.
want to see FPJ, Ryan and SMG in another movie ❤🎉
But not Jennifer Hewitt? 😂🤣
*love
Freddie and Jennifer used to come into Tower Records in Sherman oaks when I worked there in my youth. WAYY cool people!
That’s so messed up that he was treated that way during the first one. It explains why his acting was somewhat ‘off’ in the original but better in I Still Know. I hope with this legacy sequel he’s treated a lot better.
Freddie is awesome. Keep it up!
Freddie is awesome! I wanna see him in another horror movie!
Only person I accept losing the battle of Sarahs hand too. I mean I was 8 and neither of them know I exist but, I accept Freddy as the winner.
I feel you 😂😂😂😂
If it wasn't for Freddie than right now you could be Mr. Gellar, she's not changing her name for you.
😂😁🖤
@@joemckim1183 LOL ladies and gentleman Mr and Mrs Gellar
I met Freddie last month at a AEW wrestling event and he was so cool 🙂
For anyone wondering, the director was Jim Gillespie. He’s directed only 5 movies. Now we know why.
he's so likeable
Freddie is an underrated actor. I did a good job in the Scooby Doo live action movies. They may be cheesy, but I don't care. They are still good.
They're my childhood, lol he's great ❤️
I think I've liked him in everything I've seen him in cept Scooby Doo. But I just never liked those movies.
He sucks as a actor that y he's not in movies anymore
Freddie seems like a down to earth guy, Ryan too...good to hear nowadays.
Freddie was great in both these movies!
He’s such a daddy now 🔥
always liked him in movies
Jim Gillespie directed the hell out of that movie and basically never worked again. So I figured he had a difficult attitude for his career to halt after a success like that.
Freddie Prinze, Jr. sounds the same and looks pretty much the same, just with more gray hairs.
Freddie and Sarah was the reason why I watched the movie actually. He was total hunk back in the days
Freddie seems like a nice dude I'm looking forward to seeing him and JLH comeback for a third movie!
People like that annoy me I get that this guy wasn't your first choice but treat your employees with respect
Actors are NOT The Directors employees, fucking dumbass. Actors are Employed by The PRODUCERS, fucking idiot. Producers are in charge, not the director, dumbass.
The director said none of that happened, and he actually wanted Freddie because he matched the other actors' ages. He advocated for him.
My grandpa worked on the set of this movie .. he told me FPJ hated the boat scenes .. now I know why
now I want to know what actor they wanted over him because I don't know if I can see anyone else playing that part
We love Freddie
Legend! Great movie too
I will always love this man. What a truly genuine, sweet human being ♥
His performance was really good in both movies. Proud of him for overcoming the experience of having a bully director.
The first film was "I Know What You Did Last Summer". The sequel was titled "I STILL Know What You Did Last Summer" and then the third film which a lot of people haven't seen because it was a direct to video film was titled "I Know What Day You Get Paid".
I thought Freddie was the guy on the right with dark hair 😅 I forgot he’s aged and when I realized he’s the guy on the left I gasped 😅
Thats one of my all time fav slasher/horror movies. That and Scream
Old school filming stories are painful to hear. I can't bear that kind of treatment.
I like this guy, he does it right!
Prinze & the wolf podcast was on for like 2 years if anyone wants to take a deep dive on him lately, it ended awhile ago but was good
I cry one tear, down my left cheeck, for freddie press jr.
Please interview ICP
I love fpj!!
I first knew Freddie Prinze Jr as Fred Jones from Scooby-Doo movie when, I was 5 years old.
So here is how I categorize evil people vs good people, so know this. Good people always build people up, encourage them, etc while evil people are always doing the opposite. Once you learn to differentiate between the two, you'll go far.
😕 Had no idea he was treated so badly. I thought he was great in the role. But if he hadn't made that movie, he never would have met Sarah. All these years and they're still going strong.
I would have quit! That’s not right to make an actor feel not wanted. Not right for mental health. Same on the director!!!!
3:45 absolutely!
I have not seen this movie in a long time.
I love the 5th Element reference.
❤️❤️❤️
Jim Gillespie is the director of I know what you did last summer.
If that's how he treated him... fuck that guy 🤷🏽♂️
Kevin Williamson is the screenwriter, so who gives a fuck about the director?
Directors are hella over rated.
Lets jump em. You take left I'll take right!
I still till this day will stand by this Helen should’ve lived she was trying to survive the hardest out of everyone and got killed in such a stupid way cause Julie even though she was the lead was annoying me throughout the whole movie even though she was more tolerable to do the second one.
That director only did 3 B movies after that
I am watching while they are filming the reboot/sequel here in Sydney. I had a massive crush on Prince Jnr in this movie and can’t believe the director did not have faith in me. If only the director knew he and Ryan P bought in the female audiences 🤑 he would have think twice. U got my back prinze jnr. 😅
Jimmy Gillespie is punching the air rn 😂
I heard Freddie isn't easy to deal with which could explain why the roles dried up fast. Like remember this is his side of things.
@ Kris Bryant is that u?! what happened to u man? You were the MVP! Your Downfall will be studied
i just remembered Freddie was in the Wing Commander movie
Summer Catch also, a very underrated baseball movie.
@@joemckim1183 holy shit i know that one! my god i forgot.
@@Gunnumn That's back when Jessica Biel was in her prime.
I love how he just refers to Jennifer Love Hewitt as “Love” 😂😂😂😂😂
Yeah, there's a reason that was the only movie that that jerk-off of a director was known for.
Good on Ryan for being a good cast mate and Freddie for continuing to be a class act.
It's so sad that he refers to to Gillian on her 37th birthday and the house of yes as small movies when they had way more intelligent dialogue than the one he's currently talking about
That's because HE'S putting them down and not us. Some artists dont recognize what they're given because they dont consume their work like we do and plus Freddie may view his work through the lenses of popularity and not quality.
@@KrisBryant15 I'm not offended. Given who is Dad was I just figured quality would be something he would want to live up to.
@@marymoon5020 personally I dont think Freddie is on that trajectory because some people unfortunately dont pay attention to their life and art to comprehend their impact or worth. Even Sarah is the same way because I was just discussing why would she do a project like Wolf Pack when she could do so much better at this point? But LOTS of people are like that whether it be a celeb or regular person. So it's up to you to find who you are and let that bird fly when it's ready to.
@@KrisBryant15 very true. Probably most people in general.
He is and was super fine sorry to be superficial but literally so cute and I thought it was adorable he married Sara
I thought Freddie Prinze Jr was great in that movie . I like him.
I just saw a clip a couple of days ago in which his wife talks about how she got her hands all messed up and filled with countless splinters because of the dumbwaiter in her chase scene in that movie. It's a shame people didn't know about all that back then and that some might have thought it was just a bunch of pretty people showing up and collecting a paycheck, having no idea what kind of harrowing stuff they were being subjected to.
That sounds like a horrible experience. 😕
That’s bullying, terrible 😞
FPJ was so good in series 24 HOURS
Don't remember what seasons he appeared on
maybe it was 7&8!?
He's so great in The House Of Yes, but this is a horrifying story to hear!
This guy busted out the Ruby Rod reference 😂😂😂
Every Halloween I watch scream and I know what you did last summer. Thems my shits
Man I legit thought they were talking about Scooby-Doo even though I read the title.
