Wow, didn't realize y'all were in my backyard. I've done so much tent camping in Ft DeSoto, and wonderful state parks. My favorite is Oscar Scherer, especially if I can get a spot right on the river. Thanks for sharing about Ft DeSoto. Sad how hard it is to get reservations. Oh, another great park is JB Starkey up in Pasco. But you probably knew that. Love your vlogs!
What a wonderful reason to be at that camping ground. Thank you for this special personal share. Hopefully there will be more family gatherings here so the younger generation can create their own happy memories. Happy campers, see you next week. 🙏 🤩 🇳🇿 🙋♀️ 🇳🇱
Loved it. While I am still on my Breezer gravel bike, Pam is on her e-bike and we have spent hundreds of hours together on bike paths. Lectric is HIGHLY recommended by numerous independent sites. Bien viajes.
OMG, great job Dennis in dealing with the “water leak”, that’s crazy, and I’m sure you can laugh about it now. Your shared experiences of real life are absolutely priceless. I love your videos and content/stories of all the places you’ve stayed, and educational info on the area inn a bonus. I started following you on your adventures to Mexico and love your fearless energy and willingness to share. Haven’t gotten an RV yet, currently trying to learn all we can from amazing people like you prior to jumping in. In the ordering process for aN LTV. Keep up your great work, and focus on your happiness, and less on pressure for content. I’ve marked so many of your visited places on my Google Maps to visit in the not too distant future.
I've missed you two! Just saw that this was uploaded. Yes, I know that I'm a month late in watching it. :-) Looking forward to catching up on your more recent videos
Hi guys. Great video in capturing the moments. Did not notice a huge difference in the editing of the video. Which is a good thing as it keeps the video in your “voice”. If it frees up time all the better. Safe Travels. Cheers!
Welcome back! Delightful, reminds me of my youth camping with family along the Wisconsin River, Florida edition. I’ve been to Fort DeSoto for kayaking, but have not been organized enough to plan for camping (yet). Egmont is a great place to visit! 🌊
That place looked pretty awesome to camp. The crowds looked off the chain. Also the 7 month wait was crazy. So……”Break a way” pipes….if they are all being fatigued and they are fatigued at the same rate…….Dennis was probably worried/scared to hook up the water at the other sites…..one pipe busted…..the others are just waiting. 😀. Looked you guys had fun.
Drove right by my house to get there! Truly beautiful area - but oh, the traffic during tourist season ! The new bridge (not a draw bridge now) helps !
Jetty park for rocket launches & beach & lake Louisa state park ( great winery [ Lakeridge winery] & Talbot island state park with it’s Boneyard Beach 🏖️ ( petrified trees)
You didn't say this was a recommendation to visit those places. You just listed locations. No context. Maybe say, if you liked this check out these. Haha
@@EatSeeTV Submitted before I completed recommendations sorry 😞. Another place that we fell in love with is just across the border is in St. Mary’s Georgia and the campground is full hook up and family owned. Hey Siri wheel Campground in Georgia 6031 Charlie Smiths sr hwy. 31558. It is just down the road from crooked River State Park, but unfortunately we couldn’t get a reservation there however we can’t there before and we like this one better more private. great hole in the wall neighborhood restaurant nearby called ship to shore. Great scallops, fried pickles, clams, etc. huge portions.
No gaters in salt water, only in brackish (mix of salt and river) water. I've never seen a gator in that area in my 30+ years of living by that park. Other areas they can be abundant.
@@eleanorstenberg699 Thanks for your response. We just booked a VRBO on Anna Maria Island next March and I have visions of encountering alligator. I'll put that to rest....thanks again
Totally agree, my favorite campground in all of the US!
It's such a great park!

Thank you Oma! Glad spring is making its appearance for you.

Oh warm water looks amazing! Awesome you got some family time in.
It was the perfect temperature :)

That's wonderful it could bring back memories!
Great video!!! Love the beauty, the insight and the history. Well done 👏🏻
Thank you
Yes many fond memories camping at Ft. DeSoto.! 💖🙏✌
Thanks so much for sharing another wonderful video like always, I went to high school in Orlando, I love Florida❤️🤗
Thank you Miguel for watching! We appreciate you being here!
Such a great place for family time! Thanks for sharing this trip with us! Jane in SC ❤️🙏🏻
Thank you for tuning in 😊

We did enjoy it! And yes the crowds can be crazy!
I grew up in Pinellas county and really enjoy any opportunity to see the park.
Right, its so pretty! Even just day trips are fun.
Hey. Glad you’re back but don’t worry, you don’t have to be here every minute of every day. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much for your continued support!

Yes it does!
I have never heard of this park, I will definitely have to put it on my must visit list.
👍
FT DeSoto beach is often voted the most beautiful beach in the US.
Definitely!
Hello guys been awhile since I seen you videos for some reason , but I had to look for them and I'm back on board
Glad you got caught up!
Welcome back. You were missed.
Is un loosening the same as tightening?
How do you guys those beige chairs you have?
Quick thinking on who to call when the water pipe broke 😅 Fort DeSoto is beautiful!
Haha we didn't need to call them in reality but I just followed instructions!
Welcome back! Video looks great!
Are you able to get groceries with the ebikes?
We haven't tried but I don't see why not. These things cruise!

Not sure why you're sharing this here. That's not even nearby?

So you’re telling me you only camp 3O miles from your home ??? Very odd

Heard about that place❤️ one of these days
Hopefully you can snag a spot!
How far in advance do you need to book campsites?
As far out as possible.
How do y'all do it with 2 cats? We want to full time with cats but have concerns about claws and litter boxes.
We keep the liter box in the shower and just move it when we need to shower. The kitties do well. They don't love travel days (but who does)?? Haha 😆
Glad you are back. Looks like a beautiful place to camp. That raccoon out in the daytime should be a red flag for rabies.
They're all out in the daytime there. There's so many they've become acclimated to living in the daytime. We must have seen 10 there!
The same happens in Biscayne in Miami. They are all over during the day.
Do you worry about alligators at the Florida parks?
No gaters in salt water, only in brackish (mix of salt and river) water. I've never seen a gator in that area in my 30+ years of living by that park. Other areas they can be abundant.

Yes sharks are more of a concern there than alligators. Anna Maria is beautiful!
Fort DeSoto: Florida's worst kept secret.
It's definitely no secret!
