Awesome! Love the Keys and Pennkamp SP. I got my PADI dive certification there when I was 16 (30 years ago). We did 2 dives per day for 5 days. We had plans to go further down the Keys afterwards, but hurricane Andrew was coming. We left 2 days before landfall.

You could always go to Larry and Penny Thompson, Park it's one of the largest campgrounds in Miami Florida, and you're only a few minutes away from the zoo. You could also go to the Everglades.
@@EatSeeTV Agreed! We have the right equipment: truck with a roof top tent, kayaks, Spyder, and a utility trailer (for the kayaks and the Spyder). Just need the time!!

We were just in Florida for 4 weeks and were able to find 2 cancellations at the KOA mile marker 20 it was just renovated very nice 👍 We also would like to recommend a restaurant at mile marker 99 Key Largo Mrs. Mac’s Kitchen 2, the fish tacos and gadar bits were yummy 😋. Safe travels.
That was very lucky to "snag" that campsite. I can't tell you how much time I spent on the Florida State Park website trying get a site for March. Good to know that the alert system works. Will keep that in mind for the future. We started our Key West reservation adventure in the middle of last July, and was lucky to get a cancellation at the Sugarloaf Key KOA for the middle of March. We've got reservations for seven days, and it's $180/night (ouch...).
Another great video! I'm spending my first winter living in my RV in the Florida sun. I would love to go to the keys, but need to hope for a cancellation. What app do you use to get notified of current cancellations?
Which is your favorite park in the Keys? I'm talking to some camps around the area to volunteer this spring. Currently in central Florida helping and it's fun so far.
We were there Feb 11th! Just one night but did the glass bottom boat tour. I know how it feels when those alerts come in. We scored a week at Bahia Honda via the alerts and the ranger asked who I killed to get in. ha (no one I promise)

Bahia Honda is the prettiest water view. But this park is great if you want to spend time snorkeling or diving.

Yes he's lost a lot of weight. We've been eating in more which has made a HUGE difference.
