@@monacofish4974 another myth busted! Early reports from long ago suggested they were like salmon and only spawned once then died. This is great info! Keep up the great work! Hopefully they'll spawn again soon.
@@TheTRUST8888 of course I heard of this myth too....but never thought it'd be true. After removing almost any of the fry last Monday, the day before they startet swimming, the male choose the next of "his" three females and prepard to spawn again!
Cool, gratuliere dir 👍🏻
congrats boss
That's awesome! Have they been eating artemia since they hatched?
Not since they hatched, but since they started swimming!
@@monacofish4974 Sorry that's what I meant. That's good! I always heard that artemia was too big for the fry. I guess that was a myth. 👍🏻
@@TheTRUST8888 that's definitly a myth, no problems with artemia nauplia of normal size from first day on, just as most cichlids!
And have the parents resumed eating?
The parents never stopped eating, not even during laying the eggs ;-)

@@monacofish4974 so awesome. One of the cichlids species I really want to get to spawn. Cichla temensis is another one.
