This episode 8 is mainly focussing on Kumakonam, where four historical temples were made in 12th century. Aravat temple is dedicated to Aravat who was blessed by Lord Shiva..
Carvings on walls and pillars in these temple are magnificent and more precise than found anywhere else.

      Temples in Kumbakonam
Sandwiched between two great rivers of southern India, Cauvery and Arsala, Kumbakonam is a gorgeous temple town in the heart of the Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu. Apart from the many beautiful temples in Kumbakonam, the town is known for its grand festival called Mahamaham festival which is celebrated every twelve years at the Mahamaham Tank. For lovers of history and those seeking to understand Hinduism and India's mythological roots, Kumbakonam offers an ecstatic journey.
There are 22 beautiful temples in Kumbakonam.
      It's wonderful city
One of them is Airavateswara temple,
Located in the town of Darasuram near Kumbakonam in Tamil Nadu, Airavatesvara Temple is a revered Hindu temple and a UNESCO world heritage site. Part of the popular trio known as the Great Living Chola Temple along with Brihadeeswara Temple at Thanjavur and the Gangaikondacholisvaram Temple at Gangaikonda Cholapuram, Airavatesvara Temple was built by the Chola King Rajaraja Chola II in the 12th century CE.
