I was watching this last night. You took us on a tour of your beautiful island. I had a terrible eerie feeling that you might be documenting your island before it gets hit by a cat 4 hurricane. You words or encouragement for people that have strong homes to help people who don't and to check on neighbors and the elderly. So may people live right on the water there and you drove up what looked like a mountain. All the storm surge and rainfall downhill could be devastating. I saw goats and dogs roaming the streets. The small boats pulled out of the water onto the small beach. You said all the "yachts" have left. I could not sleep, and I was watching this around 2 am. It's now 3:30 in the afternoon and I read your island took a direct hit around 11am. I pray that everyone is safe and I hope you will give us an update on your beautiful island. I am in Florida near Sarasota on the south west end. We have had some terrible thunderstorms, and this is just the beginning of a scary hurricane season. Beryl is coming our way and I think he is going to do some serious damage before he is through. The gulf of Mexico is extremely warm. Please post as soon as you are able. I will be praying for your community.

This video is a classic example of the phrase ' the calm before the storm'. Stay strong and I hope you get the support you need.

I saw the calm before the hurricane.... and yesterday all the smiles and braveness of all the people in Carriacou. We were in the marina in June, we secure our boat on the open ground and we left it on the 22nd of June. Is someone could help us and tell us how are people who lives on their boat ? how are the boats, name after name ? Please, could somebody answer ? We are now in Bretagne (France), and we can help if you need !

Surprising how many boats are anchored in the bay considering how vulnerable and exposed they may be once the hurricane arrives

Sadly everything will be flattened soon. Many people have not experienced a cat 4 hurricane. The sound alone from the wind will terrify grown men. But they will be prepared for the next one. Build back stronger

Before I watch whole video, I spent some time on the lovely island of Carriacou. Hurricanes also bring much needed fresh water, at least back in the 1970s when I lived there... so it's not all bad. And besides, it's all a part of normal living in the Caribbean. Changing weather is part of the human condition for all you hand-wringing-21-century-climate-change-prognosticators.
