I find it hard to believe you have all those great tools and yet keep sockets in bags! ;)

At first I thought you were going to cut holes on the board until I saw you use dowels instead. That's brilliant.

Set some 1/2" magnets in the wood to hold the sockets when hung vertically.

I really like this idea. I think you went a lot more technical than I would have. I would have just traced the sockets and then drilled.

I did this but put the pegs into a 2 x 2, then mounted several of these on a board and placed the board onto the side of my workbench, which is on wheels. The other side of the board holds the ratchet wrenches.

Thank you! This is so easy. I feel stupid for not thinking of it. (also, lose the music. It's distracting, and makes it difficult to hear YOU)

How has that Milescraft drill press/guide been?
Is it worth the price? Or should I save up for a dedicated drill press?

It was good at first, after not many uses it has a harder time sliding. I say get a dedicated drill press, but the handheld is good if you are working on a big project you cant fit under the press.

I picked a rusty one up at my local recycling center that sells old tools if they're in decent condition. I sanded it down so the rails are smooth and graphite splooged the whole thing so it glides nice. It's totally worth the 9 bucks that I paid for it. Idk how much they are new but damn it's saved my projects countless times when needing a drill press and only having this. It's identical to yours. But I don't know what the pointed corners are for down at the bottom plate. You know the little pointed arrow looking pieces? It's almost like they're for a 45° angle when fastening a 90 butt joint for a wall or anything else of that matter

Are you making a piece of furniture or a useful rack? Line the sockets up on a piece of wood and hammer a nail through each one and spend the time doing some real work!
