This would have been just perfect had he had The Vipers tu support him. Is it only me or these other guys' vibe has nothing to do with him?? They have no soul relevance whatsoever, aside from a purely instrumental one.
I see and hear the difference too. This drummer isn't as good as the old one either. Moreover, it looks like he's in some kind of depression (or on alcohol, or both). The Scream (check out the TRMST's version of the bridge and other parts) and Pencil are different, and he no longer has that "Smells like Full of Lead Spirit" in him. He's become even more dramatic. The Scream have never been dramatic! But every now and then, I see glimpses of the true, old Paolo breaking through. I hope he'll get through what helds him...
Fan since the begening, I loved The Vipers, but Paolo is growing up and his music too. Artists cant't be the same they were 10 years before. They are living a real life and changing, like... us 🥰
I'm not sure what you mean by `soul relevance`... Are you referring to soul music? Paolo's soul? His fans' soul? Gavin Fitzjohn and Michael McDaid are old members of the Vipers. He's evolved and changed, and his music has changed accordingly. He's made new friends, and brought them along. The other Vipers members have likely started different collaborations during Paolo's time away from the music scene. It's just life. He's not a robot to play the same song the same way every night for years and years. Most important artists have reworked their songs over the years and sometimes came up with completely new versions. As for the depression assumptions, he seems healthier and happier than during the 2014-2015 tour.
