Great video. If the first pitch is a strike that you can hit well, why wait? Are we there to hit or walk? As you mentioned, you don’t want to have the mentality of swinging at everything early, but definitely should be prepared to jump on a good fastball in the zone. This advice is rarely given anymore.
This is baseball and we want to but the barrel on the ball…it’s one of the best parts of the game!

I'm with you Coach. Why take a strike Ona pitch you know will probably be good? Never made sense to me.
