6:26 Iconic part of the Yuhtunga Jungle battle theme. When you get to this part of the song you know half your party has been asleep or you are dealing with Goblin Smithy links.
man I miss all of this... But I think im just going to wait for FFXIV... I still think the gustaberg music is the best because it was the first song of this game I ever heard when a friend showed this game to us. There will never be equal to the great experience I had in FFXI. Monk 68/ WAR 34 / NIN 34. server: unicorn. sandy ftw! :D
The solo battle theme actually sounds alot better when you listen to it on its own without the game distracting you...you can just listen to the flow of it without getting killed by a Goblin @_@
I loved FF XI so much. But seeing as I was a thief it was like impossible to find a party or even if I did I would be replaced in like 5 min xD I'm glaf Final Fantasy XIV is supporting solo type players like myself.
@Thomascus187 If i am not mistaken, that would be the battle theme when you are in a team in the dungeon. just in case you have not found it... in a month XD here ya go /watch?v=lgAO9z2j5Es
Jean-Francois Beland I dont know if you have played ffxiv or not but this is not the case at all... FFXIV has its own storyline just like any other final fantasy installment.
+wastelander8899 Sorry but they have a point XI blows XIV out of the water in all regards (well maybe not rotz ^^;) CoP is the best FF storyline ever produced and only the theme for limsa-lominsa from v1 even comes close to the quality of the music in XI.
I missed FFXI, so much that I gave FFXIV a try couple months ago. To me it doesn't feel that much different than all the Chinese/Korean MMO out there... You run like lunatic, accept all the quests, run to markers on the map, bam bam bam, on and on... there was almost no human interaction during my short time playing even though I did have RL friends, dozens of them actually, already playing on the server. Also run across many players. I was out there doing my own things, spamming hot keys the same way all other MMO WoW clone is doing... The thing is, in FFXI you cannot do anything alone. So the sense of community and human interaction was really, really strong. You start talking to other people as soon as level 1.... And helping others/getting help felt so great in that game. Quests are there to tell stories, and it gives you almost zero guide what to do. Sadly the state of FFXI today is no where near what it was. It had fallen into the same pit as FFXIV where you can solo almost everything in the game safe for only end game farming to maximize your gear. For anyone craving for the old time FFXI experience, I really recommend giving FFXI Nasomi a shot. The owner wants to keep it as a time capsule, the way FFXI was in 2005.
@Panupat Chongstitwattana Nobody could've placed the words better. 150% agree on what you said. I stopped playing the moment they messed with the level caps. Then it was pretty much downhill from there. Tried FFXIV for a couple weeks and almost died from boredom. In my personal opinion FFXIV sucks, and FFXI was truly amazing, and an experience true players will definitely never forget.
Lol, iv heard all of these so mean times soloing my smn from 1-68....Never onced partyed except for some duo/trio smn/blm stuff in Ifrit's cauldron on the bombs...even afew bats because of the second summoner and the blm (Bind, sleep, blind, etc...)
@CritiqueT well yeah I know... but I am going to play with friends for that same exact reazon. I really do not trust sometimes the communities of MMO's anymore. I just really hope the community is not all that bad. I remember that there were VERY few encounters with douche bags and little kids in FF11. To be exact, it was two people that I found in like 3 years in that game. Everyone was either greedy or friendly. That was about it.
the solo dungeon music is the best solo music but yea party battle musics is the best but the Kazham party music sucks where u party on mandys they eat a nin's shadows like a fat kid on candy lol
One of the major flaws with MMO's, it's impossible to make every class usable with their system. Like how WoW became focused on PVP that non-pvp classes like mages were looked down on. And non-pvp classes like yours in FFXI are looked down on. Impossible to even out the playing field for everyone.
I haven't played FF11 since 2010. So many good memories and fun times. I miss the open world, the camp, and the grind. Bismarck server!

If you're thinking about getting back into FFXI, listening to this music will push you off the fence and onto the login screen.
who wouldn't get psyched up listening to these, love ffxi.
This game made me really appreciate good game music as a whole.
The dungeon battle music at 2:55 instantly reminds me of parting against goblins in lower delkfut's tower. Oh, such nostalgia!

I seriously hope SE doesn't screw up on the soundtrack of XIV. The awesome music in XI is really what set it apart from other MMOs.
DRK for the win! Live well brother! Live well!

Not that 14 days will let you experience the greatness that is FFXI lol
This should be the basis for a Final Fantasy XI orchestral medley in a Final Fantasy orchestral concert.
goddamn the music in this game is soooooo good

I played FF11 for like 8 years and is currently playing FF14.
FF11 battle music blows away FF14's... I wish I can change FF14's battle music to this.
The first battle theme is the solo field battle theme.
*Songs you would hear while fighting the hardest worm and blue crab of your entire career. Hornet and mandragora if smolly.*
Although this game has the whole "monthly fee" thing, it's all worth it in the end.
I agree and wish the same.
@DoWeKiteFaust Agreed, have you heard the new FFXIV battle music, look it up. And all the music on the site i have liked so far.
ジラートのダンジョン戦闘かっけーわ
.........Thats the fricking solo battle music!
lol I just realized the original areas battle music has a very ffviii feel to it
and to think, these are played during regular battles too
The one at 4:15 is on FF:Dissidia PSP
I played all the Final Fantasy's except this 1. Its a shame ill probably never be able 2 because of the cost :(
6:58
im new to this game but it still seems good
Did you learn the game though?
Id fuck shit up on the Shiva server with my Blue Mage to this :D.....good times

At 4:52, song makes me have a damn heart attack in game lol.
I wish AltanaView or XIMC could play WotG or RoAH music.
@ArkusCommand UNICOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORN!
I know your comment was made 4 years ago but even today ffxi has a lot of people still playing it.
actually I see alot of people on it
I love how FFXI was an installment of the FF franchise on it's own, not just a WoW + FF classics mash up like FFXIV, SE truly lost it's touch... sad.
