    Lots of questions since I last checked.
    Firstly for those who have trashed the experience “ waste of money “ etc etc, no one forced me to buy Perazzi.
    Measurements are fitted to you under close supervision of experts, in my case Bywell and Perazzi.
    If you are worried about getting shafted after your wood selection, then stay in the factory and see it going in the CNC machine or you could go and enjoy some lunch.
    The measurements on all 3 made to measure Perazzis’ have been the same, on my last one I decided to have the stock 5mm longer, that’s personal preference and I’m having a slightly longer butt pad fitted on the gun featured.
    A made to measure cost no more than an off the shelf one, just travel and accommodation are the extras.
    I will never compete in high level competition I’m a Sunday shooter , I’ve just been kicked out of C class into B.
    Thanks for those who appreciate this fantastic experience, sorry for those who didn’t , that’s life.

    I’m not as well heeled, so I had an older MX-8 restocked by a factory-connected gunsmith in the USA (Giacomo). The fitting process made a huge difference. Pull, cast, palmswell, drop, recoil pad, comb type were all customized and it feels wonderful. After tens of thousands of shots, it still feels magical to mount and shoot the gun.

    I don't have a Perazzi but I do have a Parker Hale SxS 28 gauge that I got when I was 8 years old and hadn't shot in probably 30 years. When I did pick it back up it didn't quite feel right so I had trusted and competant local gunsmith custom fit a new stock and forend and it became a whole new gun. It is such a joy to shoot and is almost effortless to swing and put on target, it's like it automatically tracks and shoots itself. It's not an expensive gun but it sure feels like one now and it has already put plenty of birds on the table and is going to provide many more. This was my first ever custom fit gun in almost 60 years of shooting and it makes all the difference in the world when done properly. I totally get it now. I used to be of the volition that all the expense and fuss and waiting was just a bunch of malarke, for rich people with more money than brains to have something else in their collection to brag about that they unneccassarily spent a ton of money on just because. I get it now. If I had the money, I would own a lot more high end guns that are custom fit. I can only imagone just how nice one of these guns is to shoot.

    I enjoyed the video as a long time Perazzi owner (TMS) and trap shooter. Few guns are as reliable as a Perazzi--they rarely let you down. It would be a pleasure to have a custom gun made but I have seen plenty of these fine guns "off the shelf" that have won lots of tournaments.

    Thanks for putting this video up. Perazzi builds a great firearm and this look at the service they offer at nothing extra to the end shooter is really a good thing. There are 2 things that stood out to me. The first was just how quickly the person doing the checkering worked. THAT shows someone that's got serious years in perfecting their craft. The second was how smart Chris in the selection of the recoil pad he did from a fitting standpoint. I hope he has many years of enjoyment with the firearm.

    Nice one Chris, that’s an absolutely stunning gun. I can but dream! You look comfortable shooting at the end. Hope it does you proud. Couple of questions if you don’t mind, did you have your previous gun fitted (reason for asking was that I’m curious that fit may (or may not) change as age and ailments progress maybe..)? Was it a lot different (measurement wise) to your older gun? Do you notice a big difference in handling? Have your scores shifted upwards? And finally, was it a lot more expensive than having one straight off the shelf? Cheers, Matt

    I used to own a Perazzi it had two sets of barrels one for sporting and one for the "trap"disciplines, ie 30 and 34 respectively, If memory serves, I liked the gun, I shot well with it, but thought it over priced, and to be honest, only well engineered. By that I mean it was not exceptional, or perfect. I sold it on after a couple of years, and went back to my preferred guns,, a couple of Beretta's a nice little side by side for Pheasant /game and rough etc, , and an O/U multi choke 686 for sporting and skeet, and my very best friend a Miroku O/U trap gun. Straights on all disciplines were no strangers to me.

      Coil springs tend to last a lot longer. V springs are said to give better trigger pulls but the difference is negligible in our opinion, they are very fast and simple to change however.

      I’ve been fortunate to have purchased made to measure Perazzi Guns, some of the comments of my shooting style, Bywell and Perazzi Service are bordering on rude !!, I have to say that the service on every occasion has been exemplary and have no regrets. I am just a weekend shooter and enjoy the nice things in life, so critics that point out how I shoot do not bother me in the slightest. I have been to Perazzi with Bywell and other clients and every customers’ visit leaves them feeling satisfied, if you take a look at Lloyd Pattison’s reviews of his own made to measure Perazzi that is testament to the whole process, Lloyd is a very good shot , he divorced his love affair with his K80 and has no regrets , you can view all of his videos on his “ Gun Shorts “ U Tube channel.

      Custom fitting is pretty standard for Perazzis from what I know. The cost for one is between 9, to 85k here in Finland. The most expensive ones have gold and shit in them, so I'm guessing around 10k would be the prize for the blokes gun there.

I want to do a Perazzi, I own a used MT6, had it set up to fit me by a local Perazzi guy. IT's great but I would love to go through the whole process like Chris did. I think one like Chris's would be over 15k usd. That grade of wood is not cheap.

    there is nothing more important in shooting a shotgun it must fit you ,if it does not fit you you're not going to hit your birds consistently it's worth the time and money to do it right.The only thing i do not like is trigger group does not drop out of the gun for easy cleaning replacing of trigger springs,other than that work of art,But for people like you and me that are not in the market for a $50,000 shotgun to shoot trap see if you can find a really nice Winchester model 12 spend a few dollars on the trigger and making the gun fit and you got one hell of a shotgun

    Here comes the question every one wants to know....... how much does it cost

    • @chriswillett1364
      @chriswillett1364 5 лет назад

      Hi The cost is dependant on the price you negotiate with your dealer , please believe me Perazzi do not add a penny for this bespoke service, only transport, food and accommodation, well worth it.

    Chris looks like he has never shot a shotgun in his life the way he mounts it.

      That’s your opinion, to me and the vast majority of comments are positive, it’s only a hobby and don’t really care about my gun mount.I enjoy shooting on Sundays probably never be as good as you, so what, there are always people that know best but again really not bothered.

      Chris Willett this could be the jealously speaking that you got a Perrazi but if you don’t care then why spend so much? Or are you loaded ;) aha... get it

    Does Chris have to pay for John's flight and accommodation as well as his own I wonder? Seems like Chris was being a bit led on by John at times especially with the fore end adjustment and also I think Chris should have been allowed to unbox his brand new gun...

      Hi, no I don’t pay for John’s flights or accommodation, you agree a price with Bywell then as I live over 300 miles from the shop I met him at the featured hotel, John will need to take 3 clients to make it pay , I’m sure if you wanted a true one to one experience then additional costs maybe incurred, to be honest going with other clients is a real “ crack “ as the Italian hospitality in the evenings is brilliant. The guns are always checked by Bywells before being handed over, I’m sure you could request it collected unopened.

    Sorry, but I think he jumped the gun on buying a custom gun. Should have put a little more time into shooting and technique before having one tailor made. He doesn't even have his mount down! That is one of the first things you need to know. Can't believe his coach didn't have him doing flashlight drills every evening, when he first started.

      I agree, but when you start shooting and you have money to throw at a custom Perazzi, the temptation of that classic country club image in your head supersedes a lot of the rationale process. He still mounts and shoots with one eye was what I noticed. I'm not great, but I don't see myself moving beyond my 870; simple, reliable, durable, and proven in every course of fire.

    • @Bwanar1
      @Bwanar1 6 лет назад +4

      Yes, if you have the money and can afford it...knock yourself out. He will likely need another one once he get's a reliable mount. He looks so uncomfortable mounting that gun, when it should be effortless.

      Points noted, I have no issues with this gun, I’m never going to compete at any more than club level and won The Christmas shoot at my local club, the gun has been admired by many and has resulted in numerous additional sales for the great team at Bywell’s, I really enjoy my shooting at my level and enjoy the Perazzi experience, visiting the factory is an excellent experience, whatever your shooting skills I can’t recommend it highly enough, regards CHRIS.

    Its kinda stupid in a sense to have a normal stock fitted perfectly to you since gaining/losing only 5 kg changes everything alot. Adjustable stock is the way to go even if its uggly

    • @jerryw6699
      @jerryw6699 3 года назад

      I don't know about that, and you can always change a stock. I've been shooting the same Perazzi since the late 90's, and it is adjustable, but have never changed a thing about it, and I have gained 20 lbs and shrunk an inch. Still shoot AA class.

      @@drgdfhfdhfd498 I know that most guns I pick up are way to low at the comb for me, and usually a little short. Yes, we are all different and grow and age differently. I am a shooting sports instructor, and it's very difficult with young people that are growing fast, my daughter grew 6" in one year, nothing worked very well for her.
