i personally LOVE my swivel taped over! i used my friend’s rifle for a bit a couple of months ago and she didn’t have it taped, and i noticed how loud the rifle was without a taped swivel. it’s always a personal preference, but a taped swivel is a must for me!
I love the fact that you said that it feels lighter than most rifles. The rifles that my school has are a little heavier, but that also could be because I am a beginner and just not that used to it yet.
I broke two lightweight rifles on grass during last marching season and granted they were old and I was new to rifle technique, but hearing that there’s a particularly durable lightweight rifle like this makes me happy lol
Yesss!!! Check them out for yourself at www.designsbyking.com and then when you order one (because let’s be honest everyone needs one of these) tell them Spintronix sent you!
Hey Jackie! I’m planning on either buying myself a new rifle soon or asking for one for Christmas. After four years with these rifles would you recommend a Kong, normal King, or Elite 5, and if I have to take price in ti consideration what would you get?
The Kong is absolutely still my favorite and the best rifle on the market!!! The Elites have a more inexpensive price point but you get what you pay for.
Yep. When George Miller & Sons (creator of the Ultimate rifles and sabres) originally went out of business they sold their pattern to King. However, Designs by King has taken that pattern and put it through the ringer by testing it in all kinds of situations with both the top guards in the world AND beginner spinners. Then they engineered improvements to the balance, weight, and durability that led them to create the King Kong rifle. It’s not just a piece of wood, but engineered color guard equipment.
YES 100% this is an EXCELLENT rifle for a beginner because it will hold up to WAY more drops than a normal rifle due to the metal rod inside. The only thing is that after you spin this rifle you will be spoiled and not want to spin anything else. :-)
I will always recommend you spin the size of rifle that your team spins. If you are interested in auditioning for a team that spins 39" rifles and you are used to a 36" then yes, absolutely start working on your technique on a 39". But if you are on a team that spins 36" and there's no plans to change I would say save yourself the headache and just spin 36".
My school doesn't have the weapon line so we dont spin rifle. We only do flag. I tried rifle during winter guard and loved it! I'm just not too sure what the difference of the 2 sizes are other than length. Does it affect the spin? I also have heard that it depends on your height. It's all a bit confusing and not having anyone at the school teach about the weapon line makes it all a bit more difficult 😅. You'r videos are so very helpful though!! Thank you so much!
I love my KING KONG RIFLE so much! The first King Kong rifle I got broke because I sometimes drop to much :( I decided to buy a new rifle but DSI elite 39 inch and when I started spinning it IT DID NOT SPIN THE SAME and I had to return it and use the refund money for my KING KONG RIFLE because I got very used to kong rifles and I can’t even spin other different rifles beside KING KONG!
Thank you for the awesome review! They really are fantastic rifles, precision engineered to spin absolutely perfectly. And mine have lasted longer than almost any other rifles I have! Some tips to keep from breaking (besides just not dropping, of course); 1. Be conscious of what kind of ground you are spinning over. Grass/turf/hardwood floor is much better than concrete/asphalt/tile. 2. Keep an eye on your tape! If you get a split in the tape that could be the sign of a crack forming in the wood underneath.
hey spintronix! this year is my first year on my highschool's colorguard team. i just wanted to say that your channel has helped me so much in the short amount of time that i have had my flag, thank for inspiring me and teaching me and others so much. also, how do I enter the give away?

I am actually getting used to this one, thanks for that!! I assumed I wouldn't like it when I made this video initially but it's not bad :-)

I mean it could be. It also depends on how old the rifles are, what kind of wood they are made from (or if they are plastic/fiberglass), and so on.
They are extremely old. Most of them have been there for at least 15 years. I know that they are made of wood but I don’t know what kind.
Wow, all of those tosses outside were accented by the Lovely grass behind you!
Ooh thank you so much!
So what is the difference between the king rifle and the king kong rifle
The king is a normal, solid piece of wood. The Kong is precision carved and with a metal strip in the core for better stability and balance.
A very beautiful rifle!
Agreed!!!
I spun this kind for wintergaurd!!
YAS!!! Spinning the best!

@@SpintronixGuard have you broken a kong and if so how thick is the internal metal
King rifles are the same exact shape of an old ultimate rifle. The bolt placement is slightly different.

Do you reccomend the kong rifle or the x-factor?
The King Kong is a far superior product. I did this whole review video on the King Kong rifle because of how pleased I was with it!
I entered in the giveaway cause I definitely need a new rifle! But Even if I wouldn't get it, I would still definitely buy this rifle.
That's great to know!! After the giveaway I will be posting links again so anyone who still wants one can go buy it. :-)

You are welcome! And we actually have a video that explains how to enter on our channel! :)
