Hi, maker of the rescue system here. Thanks trying it out. The radio tower triangulates the sender's position using signal strengths from three antennas, it was inspired by the BUZZ drone from the skycrane challenge.
Great vid as always.
Btw all the other creations are so detailed :o
Can you make an second version of the chuttle but without glitches?
I'm trying to adapt the antenna tower to work with the Asgard rescue helicopter made by Tohmis from last year, which is a normal autopiloting helicopter. I think it's working, but it hasn't been thoroughly tested. (also uses two more antennas and costs $10000 more than it strictly needs to be at the moment)

Also you know nit all hubro vehicles are vtols, some are helicopters
It's possible, but not easy if they weren't built for this. The Asgard is easy to integrate because it had all the features needed for autonomous rescue already built in, with the only change being the radio.

@Skibidoop doesnt make them any more complex, mechanically or electronically, but it does make them harder to operate. they are simple as a mechanical system, complex as an operated vehicle
@@serbianspaceforce6873 I'm pretty sure piston engines are far more complicated that turbine engines. Especially some of the piston engine used on the later fighter planes
8:51 "if only we had new window pieces" Seriously... At this point I'd just take the ability to make blocks transparent, I'll make my own damn windows, would probably be easier to build windows into builds that way anyways.
All these good ideas and the developers implement none, ain’t that wacky?
@@mrskywars1237 The devs are busy trying to add in ideas. The things I really want is optimizations to reduce physics/logic lag, and client-siding of vessels that are currently being controlled. (E.G. instead of having to wait on ping to control a craft, you are able to control said craft with responsive feedback. Really helps when connection can be unstable). An important note: there are like four developers, and thousands of fans. There is no way for them to implement every idea from every source.
@@annoyinglyfast5972 I agree that they need to smooth out a lot of things but quality of life improvements are important too and making building easier is something they should work on primarily once big fixes come out, I do however agree that the polish on this game is lacking slightly

Actually, for the era it is based on, the multiple small square windows would be period-appropriate. So at least there's that :D

i think the ranger class is officialy my fav boat/ship in stormworks now its absolutley amazing.
That hovercraft in the thumbnail... it looks like a hovercraft I used before advanced was a thing... strange.
That fire boat is accurate I live in Chicago and saw one a little while ago and that looks pretty on point

i'm assuming that first creation uses multiple ticks of data or something in order to trilaterate the location of the signal using signal strength.

A radio sends out a radio signal, you can pin point radio signals, pretty obvious.
That plane basically looks like a scaled down French Farman bomber :3
That cargo ship has even got a plimsoll loading indication, I don’t know if it works mind you

@Critter Kerman thats fine and all, but all I'd really like to know is how the fuck do you get the 3x3 and 5x5 engines to work.
I've got the 3x1 and normal ones to work, but I just don't understand the others.
Plus they're adding in flywheels and shit later on so, yeah, the tutorial would be outdated.

I'm sure they'll have a better method in the full release. Like a bigger starter, or 3x3 and 5x5 specific starters. Or whatever the fuck there is.

How does the fireboat have almost no draft?

Probably custom door frames, they don't actually need to be fitted with a door panel to hold fluid.
@@fanjerry8100 That's exactly how. It is the only way AFAIK to have a cargo bay that opens up and is water tight in heavy seas.
So in several videos i have heard Him mention tricks to increase Buoyancy but can't seem to find any of said tricks. Anyone know what I can do to help with that besides adding essentially torpedo bulges?
From what I’ve seen using 1x1 wedges and pivots work the best. The most realistic way is to increase enclosed space/hull, for example lowering the floor of your engine room or expanding the walls. When I first started playing stormworks, many of my ships didn‘t have enough ballast because the boats were simply too small.
P.S. For the wedges and pivots simply put them in the open space. The pivots make a very big difference.

@@fancyguyy The vessel i am currently working on is only about 65% complete but maybe 80% of the weight is in. it is currently drawing about a meter more than it needs to be. I am going to lower the mass on the active stabilizers and see if i can't lighten the superstructure but that is harder than the unseen parts of the hull it is a 24m (waterline) dive support vessel
@@LordOceanus try putting pivots in the hull. If that doesn’t work, you’ll have to extend the hull down if you can.
