Why is it, every single prime minister we've had since John Major has either been disgraced or ousted? Why can't we just have a normal prime minister who does the job properly without any lies or deceit. Is that too much to ask?

English people tend to be gullible and believe anything politicians and Tory propaganda media say, even if reality says the opposite. Just so the country can stay USA lapdogs with an economy closely linked with USA banks/international bankers/war machine, encouraging people live in greed and debt.
Like how people believed the ex Tory banker Farage wanted to leave the EU for the good of British people, when he was paying his foreign wife on tax payers expenses and hiding money in foreign tax havens. Then as soon as people voted to leave the EU he resigned, to leave people out the EU with Tories in power, who only work for a few rich people.
Nobody remembers UKIP originated from the French born James Goldsmith, whose German Jewish family changed their name to sound British. Who thought politicians after Thatcher weren't doing enough to make the rest of the world hate Britain. From Ireland one side, Europe on the other side, and the rest of the UK to hate England.
People thought if we left the EU there would be less immigrants, but now we've left the EU and become more of a USA lapdog, there are hardly any white people in English politics or the media, in a country most people are white. Morons chant the word lefty to mean multiculturalism, when the USA is the main promoter of multiculturalism, and the main lefty policies of north Europe and Scandinavia are free health care and university.
Scotland luckily have devolution to give them more independent rights away from London, so they have politicians that counteract Tory policies. Scottish people now have free university and prescriptions, while England is nothing more than USA lapdog encouraging people to live in debt, with English students being £50,000 in debt.
Scotland can look to a brighter future away from USA lapdog England, and they can be more like the rest of north Europe and Scandinavia, with politicians who work for the people and society, and less people use credit cards.

Plus the numerous secure telephones (and other systems) that serve No.10 to many outside Whitehall, that the PM has access to/ or those who have need, have access to the PM. YOU can be come a MP, spend "time" on the backbench, be seen by Party Seniors as potential, end up becoming a Minister - that is when you find out "who the real power base is" and it is NOT the Party you belong to as the Govt of the day. Has always been like this, and it will take " a valiant, strong, determined person to change it". Both NZ & Australia operate in the same Westminster form of Govt/Parliament, with the Civil Service being the "driving instructor" of Policy & direction. The advisor's to the PM are mostly determined by the Civil Service, the PM may/may not say yea/nay or offer a suggestion - who knows - what you see is what you get to listen to. Please note I left Canada out (who have a the same Govt system), they have their own problems with " a special nut bar (no relation to a snickers bar)".

Which means only a choice of completely wrong directions, which is unacceptable.

In what way are the Tories not woke? Mass immigration encouraged and at record levels, and their MPs talk endlessly about identity politics, race, women, transgender stuff, etc. Apart from a few MPs like Desmond Swayne they are indistinguishable from Labour, particularly any front bench MPs.

    • @juliapigworthy

Farage tainted his brand by forcing his own party to stand down "because of Labour", when in fact the Brexit Party was on course to repeat its EU election result and REPLACE both the Consocialists AND Liebour. Farage alone torpedoed his own party that would have delivered a no strings strong borders Brexit, just as he left UKIP out to dry as soon as they reached double figures, because he always scuttles the competition to aid and abet the Tories at the last minute knowing full well there's no time to organise a new alternative before an imminent election.
ReformUK are standing in 600+ come what may, so as long as Farage isn't able to scuttle patriots a third time we can consolidate around Reform UK at the next GE. I hope they do well in the upcoming by-elections where the government's majority won't even be at stake, as a warning shot across the bows or Tory MPs.

It was what I saw as the horrific move to lock healthy people up for a low infection fatality rate virus; to discharge elderly into care homes that became death traps and then to force the elderly to die without their families, that will not only have brutally effected the elderly but the families too, possibly for years to come. All of this was seen by me as criminal. Overturning our laws and customs and putting our economic system in jeopardy, stressing the whole nation/world for a so called emergency, with no proper evidence of such an emergency, was a hideous way of behaving. I understand that stress actually contributes significantly to death. Whether it reduces the efficiency of the immune system or acts in other ways to contribute to increased deaths from heart attack, cancer and other illnesses, I will never vote Conservative again.

I agree. It shouldn't have needed Partygate to get people furious about the PM - it was the fact that he waived through these hideous measures (with barely any scrutiny) in the first place, irrespective of how closely or not he and his entourage followed them, that's the unforgiveable sin. The additional hypocrisy over the rules he's displayed is terrible, for sure, but it pales into insignificance to the fact that he caused a huge amount of needless human and economic suffering through lockdowns and associated Covid overreactions and didn't have the strength of leadership to bring it all to a close - at least not until his own backbenchers applied more pressure. (Which, btw, they should've done much earlier - they're not above serious criticism either.)
