- I wanted to see if I could sing with Kaoru but instead I got the option to sing with Majima, not complaining at all though!
I nailed it on As Long As You're Happy! Not quite as much on Pride From Despair though...

The whole majima plot line in this game is literally “Friendship ended with Nishiki, now Majima is my kyodai”
After the first game where Majima originally only had an antagonistic role, his friendship with Kiryu truly started here indeed!
The first time Kiryu smile is when he fights Majima
And then two games later, Saejima, shows up: "Sorry, he's taken."

Kiryu didn't need to call Majima. We all know he was already there.
He just had to think about singing with Majima, and Majima popped up by pure "coincidence", I'm sure!

Kiryu is completely clueless about Majima's past, and it really shows!

i love how majima drops his crazy persona at the last verse of the song and sings properly, we can really feel his passion through this tiny bit
He put his very real feelings in that part indeed.
I think he was struggling not to cry from start to finish

Hearing Kaoru at the end is just funny. Kiryu just ditched Sayama to go sing with Majima-chan.
She's got big "You done yet?" energy here! The most ironic part is that I originally went to Karaoke to see if I could sing with her instead!
Judging by the way he interjects while Majima sings, obviously, Kiryu remembers the events of Yakuza 0 going down differently.
Kiryu is blissfully unaware of how Majima feels regarding this ordeal indeed!

i just noticed how majima has lots of basic kanjis and kana most of the time, while kiryu is all about thousand difficult kanjis. i dont know if its because of the song chosen, but holy shit reading that would lowkey be hard

@Funnyclass Indeed, but he has no idea Makoto is related to Majima in any way, so he's probably surprised that Majima has someone he cares about so much! (Of course he also got married at some point, but Kiryu doesn't know that either.)

Probably because of Majima's delivery swinging between his craziness and the more serious parts!
@@MrLemmy82 i think it makes it even sadder because it makes it more obvious the insane parts are an act and he's slowly losing it as he sings, and his true feelings are pouring out. sometimes he tried to re-establish it to seem alright, but still loses it and his pain leaks out.
The only reason I felt conflicted was probably because of Kiryu clapping and talking lol
@@aerodynamo4874 Kiryu always gives his ass when it comes to supporting at Karaoke, no matter the situation! I doubt Majima would want him to take pity anyway, he's just not the kind of guy to want to pour out his true feelings like that.

Yep! Pretty sure it's unlocked after meeting him in the story, just going to Karaokekan after that gives you the option.

Yeah, sadly Kiwami 2 has that sound that can be pretty distracting everytime you press a button.

I wish they would too, but alas the game has been released a few years ago on PS4 now, so I doubt they're thinking of updating it...
