Great overview of the Crimson vinyl set. I have all the CD box sets of Crimson live and studio. The best configuration of the band was the 73-74 line up! Amazing I would count that tour as one of the best I have ever been witness to. Thanks for your reviews!
Great review, classic albums. I have this box set and the ITCOTCK LP has the sleeve printed inside out, ie the inner artwork is on the outside and vice versa! Not sure if it is worth any more than the standard pressing but I'm not selling it anyway!
Happy New Year! Great video Jamie! I would love to get this box set. I do have In The Court Of The Crimson King, Lizard, and The Young Persons' Guide To King Crimson on vinyl already. In The Wake of Poseidon and islands are pretty high on my want list. I can't bite the bullet on this box yet but maybe later this year. Are you happy with the Steven Wilson mixes? Your box set collection is one to envy!
One of my all-time favourite bands too. Always miles ahead. Saw them live in Brussels in '95 with the THRAK line-up. They sounded close to perfection ! On New Year's Eve I played a 1967 psych/folk 'classic' : Elmer Gantry's Velvet Opera.
Hi Andrew. Wow, that must have been an incredible concert back in 1995. Your New Years Eve choice intrigues me. I don't know that one. And I really enjoy psych/folk. It is one I will have to check out.
Jamie, Richard Hudson and John Ford were the nucleus of Elmer Gantry's Velvet Opera before they joined forces with Dave Cousins and Rick Wakeman in The Strawbs (another one of my favourites).
Hi, how did you like the pressing quality and mastering? I've had a mixed bag of emotions when it comes to the new DGM presses. A Red remaster came loaded with noise and the Uncertain Times EP was a bit of a disappointment especially compared to the bluray releases.
I don't really like all the Porcol Harum albums but Gary Brooker made my 25 best singers video that I made a few weeks ago. That box set is amazing. The labels are great the way side one is the front cover and side two is the back of the cover. I have all the early King Crimson albums except In The Court Of. That album is on my want list but is not a favorite of mine. I prefer In The Wake Of Poseidom and Lizard. I'm not a bif fan of box sets because of lack of space but this one is tempting' I was fortunate enough to see King Crimson in the summer of 71.
I will have to check out your video on your 25 best singers. Quite pleased with the KC box st. So far the vinyl sounds amazing - really good. Would love to see this band live. Seeing them in the summer of 1971 would have been incredible.
Very nice box set, Jamie. The box sets coming out these days are really well done. By the way I ordered The Doors Waiting For The Sun box set.
That's great. I don't think you will be disappointed with the Doors box set. Overall, it's quite good.
Very Cool Box-Set, I have "In The Court of The Crimson King" Atlantic Records Vinyl, that was distibuted In Venezuela.

I was fortunate to see King Crimson in 71 and they were fantastic.

Yes I would definitely hang on to that one. Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for stopping by.
Very cool box set! Such amazing packaging and artwork. I kept it Canadian, and spun some Triumph, Lee Aaron, Kim Mitchel, and April Wine.
Excellent Canadian playlist for New Years Eve. Happy New Year, Joel.

That's great, Graham. Really enjoy Keith Emerson. Thanks for stopping by.
Looks like a beautiful set from one of the greatest bands of all time.
Thanks, quite pleased with it. And I agree, such a great band.
Looks good 👍
I like the 1969-74 Kc albums the most

Hey Jamie - that was a great unboxing! Very thorough. Now I'm thinking, thinking, thinking....do I take this plunge? Thanks for the video!
That's the tough question.
Overall I have been very happy with this box set.
