Mostly no one talks about Aubrey relationship with her mom it’s annoying!! For me I think she was neglected as a child and that’s why she was the most one who was aggressive about mari death because mari was the mom/big sister she never had
Aubrey actually got her "negative" character development from their friends actitude towards her, they all left her alone without even caring.
Everyone had someone caring (Basil had Polly and his grandma), she didn't.

I really don’t like how little Aubrey’s relationship with her mom is talked about. Her relationship with her mom is something I very much relate to, and I think she definitely has one of the most well-wrote characters in OMORI.

honestly this showed a relationship that no one really talks about. by seeing aubreys house, its never cleaned, there are wine bottles scattered, aubreys mom sitting on the couch silently watching tv, and aubrey having one of the only clean rooms. it seems she was on her own the whole time. mari was one of her role models, and pretty sure she thinks of hero as one based on how she listens to him.
