I love the first half of this movie. It's probably the best part of both movies. Devasena is badass and a gorgeous queen, Bahubali is epic, Kumara Varma's arc is wholesome and hilarious and I love how the actor pushes the comedy to the extreme, Kattappa had the best burn ever, the villains are despicable... It's just the perfect drama and I love every moment of it.
