Love to hear David so often start his talk with humor!
Potamotrygorgeous M.. ▪ yeah typical prudish sanctimonious sounding "christian" humor that wasn't even really funny. I can't image Jesus or any of his apostles using humor to get their audience on side with them. This corny humor is a stench to the Almighty.
But real humor CAN be beautiful in its right place if innocent and childlike and truly hilarious.

No, Mr Pawson actually has a presentation about how the LDS church is a cult / sect, and is NOT of God. You should find it and listen to it.
You should watch his video series on cults. He does not agree and rightfully so. We do not believe in the same God, as much as you misguide newer converts by prioritizing the Book of Mormon.

If a translation was started from scratch in 2023, going back to the earliest original source manuscripts available, no numerous friar scribes’ copies, no Dead Seas Scrolls and other subsequent discoveries, what results would you expect? What would we get if ancient Greek was translated to modern, then on to English?

According to apostle Paul, there are two covenants.
Galatians 4:21-31 KJVS
Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law? [22] For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman. [23] But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise. [24] Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar. [25] For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. [26] But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all. [27] For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband. [28] Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. [29] But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now. Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. [29] And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
The covenants of promises, promises made to the fathers, are contained in Christ.
Paul is not an apostle and was not an inspired writer. He offers his opinion, not anything else of real value.
Yeshua broke the covenant of death to the Israelite that sinned against a blood oath covenant that cost their souls at Mount Sinai.
That is THE SIN Yeshua broke the death penalty to they and their posterity.
You are either an Israelite or a heathen in this life. You are grafted into the tribe of Ephraim if you follow Yeshua and are not already a Israelite.

The 6th Covenant everyone overlooks is the covenant between God and the Italian Cohort which has conveyed to the US Constitution and the Command Sergeant Major of the US Army.
David, Who is Israel and who are the Jews? I thought God made a covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob later called Israel. Therefore, all the tribes of Israel must be included, not only the House of Judah who were called called Jews after the 1611 translation of the Bible. So I am confused when you speak only of the two house tribe of Israel being the inheritors. It seems to me that the land now called Israel is only for the Jews and God warns us that there are people who call themselves Jews but are not. Are these them who are ruling in Israel? So back to my question...who are the Jens, who is Israel and who is God chosen family that he made the covenant with?
Brother Pawson has gone to be with the Father. Noah was given a covenant so that includes all peoples. The rainbow is the symbol. Abraham was given a covenant for all of his peoples but a special covenant would be through his and Sarah's covenant. During the exodus, the blood oath covenant was broken and death to all of them and their posterity. Yeshua is the GOD of that covenant. He died to resolve the covenant of death. Now, they are no longer under that covenant but a renewed covenant has been established for all peoples that follow the Torah and Yeshua's uplifting of the Torah.

Well my husband cheated on me and got her pregnant and then he divorced me so he can be with her. We never had kids. What was I supposed to do? Stay single? He ended up killing his girlfriend and is now in prison for life. So yes I did remarry a Christian man. So tell me Mr Pawson, how do I stay with a man who does that and divorces me? Even the Bible says the only reason for divorce is adultery and if they want to leave to let them go.
Excellent question! My case is similar to yours! So glad to hear you were able to marry a Christian man after your unfaithful husband divorced you. The marriage covenant was broken in total by your husband. It is a death sentence for your husband. Plus, he is jailed for murder.
The Father hates divorce but as Yeshua says, "cut off your right hand if it offends you. Better to go into Heaven without your right arm."
Love for the Father trumps all other commandments. He comes first.
You honored the Father by not doing the divorce. He hates divorce.
But divorce can be a necessary cut off of the right arm.
Keep the faith! In my understanding of the scriptures, you came out on top! The Father blessed you!

Malachi 2:16 ". Also pls read Matt 5:31-32 "31 “It has been said, ‘Anyone who divorces his wife must give her a certificate of divorce.’[a] 32 But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, makes her the victim of adultery, and anyone who marries a divorced woman commits adultery." It is only when a death of the person you are married to that you can remarry. Also in Luke backs up Matthew passage. Luke 16:18 "18 “Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery, and the man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery." Eitherway if you remarry and your present husband/wife is still alive you are commiting adultery. Romans 7:2-3 "7 Do you not know, brothers and sisters-for I am speaking to those who know the law-that the law has authority over someone only as long as that person lives? 2 For example, by law a married woman is bound to her husband as long as he is alive, but if her husband dies, she is released from the law that binds her to him. 3 So then, if she has sexual relations with another man while her husband is still alive, she is called an adulteress. But if her husband dies, she is released from that law and is not an adulteress if she marries another man."
The Lord doesn't change, what He hates before He still hates today.
I found myself divorced, and remarried in civil ceremony. I've been a fornicator and adulterous. I've repented before the Lord.
@emjeia I think you fail to understand the "except" part. The adultery is a death sentence. Thus, the person divorcing g that committed adultery to marry another is dead and that allows you to remarry someone else.
No you can’t remarry or you commit adultery. You get one chance to get family right. Never play the victim, never buy into the false exemption clause loophole.

Up to 2 minutes he says how different "churches" adhere to different works and traditions of men. Trouble is, they are not churches. They're churches in name only. In Revelation it talks of those who say they are Jews but are the synagogue of Satan. Same with those who claim to be the church, who profess to know God but BY THEIR WORKS they deny him, being ABOMINABLE, and disobedient, and unto every good work REPROBATE (Titus1:16), having A FORM of godliness, but denying the power thereof... 2Tim 3:5 from SUCH we are to TURN AWAY from.
Another soft Christian this Pawson guy who loved being loved and thought well of too much to really say it how it is. In some instances he does, but only enough as not to stir up a hornet's nest like Christ and his apostles did. "WOE UNTO YOU WHEN ALL MEN SPEAK WELL OF YOU!.."
Pawson presents these opinions and practices as statements of fact; 'Different churches have different practices, here are some.' Then he says we need to "try and find out the truth."
It sounds like he believes there is a true way and a way that is wrong. Folks don't normally start a lecture lambasting the opposition, especially if the purpose of the lecture is to explore how the differences came about. He has plenty of other videos where he states his opinions about salvation, calvinism, hell, infant baptism, etc. out there.
