I spent a couple weeks in Seattle , Washington and got a taste of the skate culture. This meet up I covered, is rare in the US. I talked to Kevin and he said there are people that look from the outside and are amazed that inline skating is back. ?? I also explored University of Washington and while laying on the grass a mother saw me and said, "wow, inline skating is back!" to her kids. But we all know its slowly rising.
I spoke to some instructors at Skate Journeys, a school run by Trish (Skate IA head), and they said the ratio from instructor to kids that want to learn is overwhelming. This meet up is still brand new, it will be interesting to see how this meet up grows in the future. I think of this video as a time stamp. I even recommended to Kevin to purchase a tarp to start learning slides. There were all types of skaters there skateboarders, long boarders, roller skates, inline, aggressive, wizards. It was a liberating experience to be surrounded by that many skaters.

I got a taste of the Seattle Skate culture. It's strong there for sure! This meet up is so rare in the US. Full explanation is in the description as well as links if you decide to experience this culture on you skate journey! It was really nice to experience all skaters in one area.

This is so cool! I live in Seattle and skate here. I couldn't believe it when I saw this on your feed, I've watched your videos for awhile and it's so funny to see you meet people I know and skate where I skate. Wish we got the chance to meet but anyway I'm so glad you got to hang out with the Seattle skate gang :)
