Storming into their twenty-fifth year as purveyors of the most ruthless extreme metal, GOATWHORE returns with their long-awaited new full-length, "Angels Hung From The Arches Of Heaven", set for release on October 7th via Metal Blade Records!
Unquestionably their strongest, most accomplished album to date in sound, concept, and execution, "Angels Hung From The Arches Of Heaven" emits forty-seven desolating minutes of the band’s trademark fusion of death, black, thrash, and classic metal. Delivered with breathless intensity and an unapologetic bloodlust, the twelve-track offering stands among the most thrilling records to come out of 2022. “I would describe this record as being very raw, but clarity is shaped within the chaos,” reflects vocalist Louis Ben Falgoust II. “It’s a journey of everything we’ve done and some new approaches as we advance forward. When we write, we mainly focus on the music and what we enjoy about playing it. We don’t write just to appease others. We want to enjoy playing it in a live setting as well, especially night after night on the road.“

This band is even better live than on record.... and I love their records! They deserve way more attention than they've gotten from metal fans. I don't know a metal head that doesn't end up loving them once introduced to their music.
Like almost every US southern heavy band (beside California) a bit a digging is required to discover them. A band of this level can't fail, the lack incomes surrounding it can absolutely fail and the marketing becomes limited.

I've been fortunate enough to see GOATWHORE about 10 times,and I'm going to see them again with INCANTATION at the end of August. Sammy doesn't get enough respect,he always comes up with great riffs and in my opinion he is one of the best guitarist around..
Finally new Goatwhore! And dropping along with new Lorna Shore, Warforged, and Behemoth. Definitely a great day.

I got to say I think Ben is one of the best deathmetal vocalists ever. He has three different voices that he does and he has complete control over all three of them. Man what an instrument he has.

I've seen these guys a couple of times. Though I usually go for NWOTHM bands, Sleaze Rock, some Doom, or Metal Classics, these guys are so over-the-top, ridiculously brutal that I have to say there is much about them, in performance, that I love. I think everyone might benefit from having a Goatwhore in their Metal arsenal.
Always good to hear Goatwhore. Seen them multiple times through the years. Even seen Soilent Green and Ritual Killer there side projects few times in NOLA. 🤘😈🔥

Seen these guys in a small venue called the 5th quarter and it was one of the best live shows I've seen.
Bruno Mars (though I'm not normally much of a Bruno Mars person) and Prof are the best performances I've ever seen. Oh wait - Red Hot Chili Peppers (though I don't know much about them and haven't really cared much for them before) is the best live performance I've ever seen.

Fire across the stage and a badass screen that had to be 120ft by 200 ft that had a castle and a skeleton king moving on it.
