There is some outstanding and thrilling singing here. I thought the cheering and bravos at Dejaniro's (Ann Hallenberg) air "Where shall I fly" (Act 3, Scene 3 - 2hr 20min ) were richly deserved. The musical accompaniment was perfect. It was electrifying and conveyed the terror of the three Furies so well. For a performer it must be so heart-warming to have one's efforts so well appreciated.
