What Kanae talked about with FF is not exactly a mod per se, but it is a third party tool. But technically it doesn't affect your game files like mods normally do since all it does is read your battle data. But since I'm not super fluent calling it a Mod is probably the correct term . . .

Quite controversial yes but strictly speaking(by the game director himself) is not ban-able if you use it to monitor your own performance. They can't detect it either. But say if you use it to "judge(bad mouth)" others' performance and talk about it(ss on forums and whatnot) then you can be banned.
