Is the live sound, in the video, going into an amp or was that directly into the board? I'm thinking of getting one of these and would really like to know. Thanks!
Hi..I bought the GP200 and imported your patches (Thank you) but when I click on the 1st patch, the stomp mode doesn't have the pedals assigned? Can you help with a 1,2,3 step after loading the patches.
A quick tip for everyone using the GP 200. Presently the unit doesn’t have stereo width to the effects, I suggest using the M chorus modulation effect pre or post amp with a 20% mix and 20% depth, this gives much wider space for the tone especially for the heavy crunch rhythm and even for lead if you wish so.
Just found your channel because of the Valeton GP. Your channel and your band are awesome ! Incredible how clean and accurate you perform live on stage! Also Thumbs up for your lead singer !
This is the most practical review/guide I've found on a modeler, thank you! My only gripe about your video is how loud your shred lick interlude is in comparison to the rest of the video, I'm officially awake now 😅
Great Video!! I love how you have your GP200 setup. I would love to see you do a video that actually goes through the process of programming the footswitches and how you assign them to the different effects. The manual doesn't really go to much detail about setting the footswitches. Also most of the other videos just want to show you how it sounds with very little explanation on they achieved the results. Any way it would be great if someone who actually uses the GP200 to perform with did a real hands on in depth tutorial! Thanks Again for a Great Video of the GP200!
THANK YOU for this video, I loved that you not only explained how good it is but also gave some comments on how it can be improved by firmware updates. I really hope valeton listens to you, and please update us in a video if they do so. This is the first video of yours I ever watched but I'm definitely watching more
This is the best modeler demo I’ve ever seen. Amazing job .. i really appreciate it and i bought this unit and downloaded your patches. You should consider making more patches and charging . I love the patches and your approach as a live musician it really helps
For me it's the perfect unit. Size, price, functions, quality. It's all there. One thing that is missing: Global Tempo. You can only set bpm per patch so if you switch you have to tap or manually set tempo... We need an option that lets us set global tempo that applies to every patch.
A real Situation Test and pickin up Infos and experience from Lifegigs is a 100 times better than just talking in the Studio. Great Leadsinger! Thank you for NOT showing 100ts of Effects nobody uses on stage.
I'm the guitarist in a tribute band (UB40) and play a Zoom G3 direct to PA. I've tried every brand of MultiFX and keep coming back to Zoom. I am considering the Valeton but have been concerned about reviews stating the modulations are weak? Although I use fairly subtle settings I rely on one good phaser effect. I note that the GP200s main competitor the Pod Go doesn't have balanced XLR output, that's a prerequisite for serious stage use imo. I'm glad to see a JC120 (staple reggae amp) is simulated in this unit too.
Love your Got Balut t shirt!!! My family never made that for me to eat. I've eaten tripe, I've eaten dinaguan (and enjoy it) but I ain't eating balut no matter how much you pay me!
Nice chops bro. You and your band sounded great! In comparison, Im a total amateur. Interested in one of these multi fx. The GP-200 is way more advanced than I could take full advantage of....and the price is pretty good.
I just got the GP200 yesterday and I want to use it with my BluGuitar Amp1 which can take midi commands pretty easily - it has a midi read mode that whatever command comes next, it remembers the settings on the amp - how would I send a midi command with each patch? I set it up so that the top row has 4 different patches and the bottom row has different effects from the chosen patch - what I am hoping is that as I change patches on the top row, I can send a midi command to the amp to recall different channels (the amp has 4 channels) - and thank for the patches!!!
You'll probly need to assign the corresponding MIDI CC commands for the Amp1 to each of the GP200 switches. Can't say if it'll work or not but that's a cool idea if it does. Maybe a deepdive with the desktop editor is in order.
We need an updated review of this. they just released a new firmware update and you can use 8 control functions and some other features like whammy and auto swell.
Definitely subscribed and definitely getting your presets!! Just got my GP 200 and have been taking the time to go thru it with software You're awesome as a player and mentor ! Now I'm going to search your content for further instructions on usage of the unit and how to load your presets WARNING I may become a pest to your channel LMAO
It would be nice if you could name the footswitches on the screen instead of CTRL 1, CTRL 2, etc. I know that doesn't really help at a gig as the screen is hard to see, but for practice and setup would be nice to know what effects you are activating on any of the switches.
Thanks for the video man! And your band rocks! You guys sound tight! Could you explain a little more about the "activation on initial tap or release" at 4:45? I recently bought the pedal and would like the effects to activate when the switch is pressed down, not on the release. I can't seem to find anywhere to toggle that function. Thanks, and keep rockin! 🤟
Hello….I ordered the go200x should be here within the week….i watched a different video where a guy assigned the bank up/down (maybe patch up/down) to an external two button clicker switch…would that change the set up on your download patches or how would you assign it accordingly to the set back you mentioned in this particular video…I do understand that this video is a couple of years old but I do plan to download your patches as I find them super diverse and believe you could pull off almost anything from classic to heavy music tones
Nice demo and tones. This is unique video in a live context, great idea! I've heard that it has a noticeable lag when switching patches, is it true? Any views on how this compares with Zoom G6; can't decide between the two! Thanks.
@@OfficialPerfectoDeCastro Thanks for your quick and honest opinion. I get your point. In that case, when in pedal board mode (within in one preset/patch), when we on/off individual pedal effects, there wouldn't be any is lag, correct?

Most people use ping pong delay and set the feedback time as low as possible to achieve such thing like stereo FX..
I am new to this so I apologise if I misunderstood. Are you saying that none of the effects are in stereo?
