This is so awesome to me. Enya does an awesome version too. I just wish it were fully ion English! :) The melody of this song is so "Holy" sounding. Can't you just imagine the Jewish people singing this song before the 1st coming of Christ? GOD had been silent for a long time and they really needed a "spiritual awakening." Yes, even back then. They knew the Messiah had been promised to come and they waited patiently, but longingly. Can't you hear them sing this very song? O Come Emmanuel...
by the way "O Come O Come Emmanuel on Nadolig Aled" Is a Welsh Language version by Aled Jones that is truly breath taking and I would recomend it to anyone who enjoyed this excellent version.
@qtpuppy7 I found the information regarding the performance track used on O Come, O Come Emmanuel. The artist is Jaci Velasquez on a Studio Series Performance Track CD. This can be purchased through a local Christian Bookstore, or it can be found online.
Awesome job! You should seriously consider doing a christmas album. It's hard to find artists that follow the normal flow of the song like you do. Great Job and Merry Christmas!
Accompaniment track by Jaci Velasquez, Ultimate Tracks from Word Records, originally released Oct. 2006. Check with any Christian Book Store. If they don't have it maybe they can order it for you. Also check iTunes.

@qtpuppy7 I looked for and couldn't find the track used on this video. Unfortunately, I can't remember who the original artist was that did the song. The only thing i remember is that the instrumental track was purchased at a Christian bookstore. I would suggest going to a Christian bookstore after Thanksgiving to see if they can help you find the track. I am sorry I couldn't help you any more than that. Good luck.

@youngcowgirl16 I don't remember since it was sung three years ago. Probbly medium, but you can go to iTunes and listen to 30 second samples of each key to find the one that suits your voice the best. The track information is listed in the comment section associated with the video. Good luck and Merry Christmas!
This is so weird - I was watching Sixpence's version of this song and saw this - did Jamie work on Mercy Ships a few years ago, maybe '05-06? I knew her if so! I remember her singing some of her original stuff and it was unreal. thanks for posting
Yes, Chappy's Hollow, Jamie did work on Mercy Ships from October 2006 to April 2007. That was a very special time in her life. You can reconnect with her on Facebook, Instagram or Tumblr. I know she would like to hear from you..
it is true that God's name is not God although the upper case LORD is used in His name's stead as it was felt too irreverent to actually use His name. Regarding the wonderful singing, thank you for posting this video.
Beautifully done! However, I would have liked to have seen a little stage presence. She looks like she's just singing a song. The voice is wonderful but the performance needed a little something more to just make it that much more powerful. This is the kind of song that if you work it just right, you'll have your audience in the palm of your hand.
You have a good voice, and very good vocal control. But the two critical issues I'd address are that Emmanuel doesn't have an "h" in (I know it's often used with singers, but it sounds like you can't change the note or project without the cheat - mine and my best friend's opinions :) ) and that you slur some of your notes, starting off on the wrong notes, and, again, it sounds out of control a bit. Other than that, you have an interesting version. Keep up the singing!
i'm sorry, but i'm a bit tired of how everybody is singing like britney spear/aguilera/etc , with this weird pop vibrato. (tho this girl sings better than Birtney)
Her voice is amamazing. This is my favorite rendition of my favorite song.
anyone else here from good christian fun pod lol
15 years later, still my favorite rendition of this song!
One of the best singers I’ve heard
why every year, this video is hard to find? Still my favorite
this song always, always makes me cry. The term Ransomed, that hits. Rejoice.
'Tis a pity I cannot click the 'like' button more than once. I keep coming back to listen.
Her's is my very favorite version of this song. I hope it always stays on here, so I can keep listening to it. I don't even wait for Christmas.
Beautiful voice - Beautiful song - Beautiful person.
I come back to hear this every year. It is absolutely perfect; it prepares my heart for Christs birth like no other song or version has ever done.
OMG!! I came looking for her
Still my favorite
Still my favorite from all comparing youtube vids.
Thank you.
2024. Merry Christmas friends! God bless you in these difficult days

Where can i find her version of this song

"God" is not the name of my god. You can call him Yahweh.
vowels are really out of place and pop-ish, it's a more classical song. But great voice, really.

Urgh. Good voice, but I can't stand the arrangement. This song should be sung with a full choir and a church organ, not a diva backed by synths.
shes good :) but she slides a little..
